Of all the places I've stayed in, in India and around the world, I would say Hearth of Imphal ranks among the very best: the owner has a full understanding of a traveller's needs, ensuring we have access to home comforts such as available drinking water, a kettle, tea/coffee, a toaster, and a lovely common area to eat, relax, or work. This would be ideal for any remote worker or traveller, whether alone or with a family. Equally noteworthy is the owner himself: Ram is easy going, friendly, and goes above and beyond to help and inform his guests in any of their queries; he's also a treasure chest of knowledge for anyone keen to discover and understand the local culture. His wife is also a lovely person to speak to and a great cook too.
This beautiful homestay is located at a very convenient location, just couple of seconds walk to main road. Having breakfast in the balcony while enjoying sunlight is pure bliss!! The hosts, Ram and Nandini are amazing people - always there to help you when needed. And the must worth mentioning for me os the breakfast, every day it will be something different and healthy yet tasty!! Would definitely recommend this beautiful place to everyone!
Location is very good for both tourists and the local community.
The service could be much more better and the hospitality can be better. The rooms are clean and comfortable but needs to work on the Washroom in terms of cleanliness.

There is no better place to stay when in Imphal. Ram and Nandini are such wonderful hosts, made me feel at home the moment I set foot in their house. And they are a treasure of knowledge about Imphal, Manipur, its culture, society and politics. And of ourse, like others said: the food is delicious! Cooked with love and care, with fresh ingredients, most of it local.
We spent the most wonderful 10 days at the Hearth of Imphal. Nandini and Ram were the best hosts -- feeding us the best food and conversations. The home stay itself is made with a lot of love and care -- plants in every nook and cosy corners where you can just lie down or read a book. I'll definitely recommend this one to anyone looking for a little peace and quiet.
Loved the place. The hosts Ram and Nandini are welcoming and more often than not you will get to meet some inspiring people staying there. The place is exquisitely made and also maintained well. Their cute little daughter Hannah and the super friendly dog Sanatombi would add joy to your stay. The breakfast spread is delicious too. Advance booking is recommended.
This is a wonderful place run buy a helpful, warm and friendly couple. They provide all the help one may need. The complimentary breakfasts are filling and delicious. The rooms are specious and comfortable. The balcony area is superb. The entire place is wonderfully decorated. But the best thing about hearth of Imphal id the hosts: Ram and Nandini.
