GURUS RESTAURANT - Family restaurant in Munnar - Idukki, India

Guru's Restaurant in Munnar is a bustling and popular South Indian restaurant that offers delicious food at affordable prices. One of the highlights of this place is that they serve generous portions of curry, ensuring you get your money's worth. However, one minor downside is that the service can be a bit slow at times, particularly when it comes to the servers delivering the food. Another aspect to consider is the lack of parking facilities. Guru's Restaurant does not have dedicated parking, so you might have to rely on finding a free space on the roadside. This can be a bit challenging, but if you're lucky, you might manage to find a spot nearby. It's always a bit of a gamble!

Would not recommend this place because the chicken gravy we ordered had chicken bones and no chicken meat to eat. The waiter was extremely rude thinking we are north indians. They don't even recommend you the food to order even if you ask them. They come up with a bad attitude answer saying "we don't know what you north indians would like". To the owner of the place, please teach your waiters how to talk to customers

As it was peak season, we faced a waiting period of about 15 mins. The food had both vegetarian and non vegetarian options. One would encounter the restaurant towards its right hand side while moving inwards the city (towards tea county resort). Had fish fry and chicken biryani for lunch on a sunny kissed day at Munnar, Kerela.

Authentic Keralian foods. Good staff behaviour. Try their breakfast dishes, Kerala thali, fish pollichathu.

Good food... fast service... parking not available...park the car on roadside ...very crowded...

Had lunch ( Meals with chicken and fish as side dishes) from here on our trip to Munnar. The food was decent and had sufficient quantities. There was a crowd during the lunch time and even amidst that the waiter was quick with our order and additional orders in between. UPI payment is available here. Large tables which can easily accommodate 15 people are available here which is good for large groups.

It is alright. We ordered Chicken biriyani(CB) and Kerala meals with Ayala fish fry. CB was dry and tasted okay. Fish we ordered was disgusting, it smelled very bad and was undercooked. I would say it is a tourist trap. There are other good restaurants elsewhere in Munnar.

Food was decent. Had Fish polichadhu and Kili parotta. Both were good. Prices of items were nominal. They accept digital payments. Restrooms were the only concerning thing.
