Gurung Guest House - Tinchuley - Home Stay in Tukdah Forest - Darjeeling, India

We had a great time with family and friends. Upon request they organized a bonfire and the host's brother Rajender played the guitar as well. The views from the room are beautiful.

Visited on 11-11-23. R/r of DB- 2800/- Meal - Rs 800/- (B.F, lunch, dinner). Staffs are candid. Food is highly satisfactory. View of Kalimpong from bacony is mesmerising. Great place who loves serenity. Cons- view from the cottage is obstructed by trees.

It is the most peaceful and nice place to visit in Tinchulay. I have been recently there and every moment spent there were rejuvenating. The view from the guest house of the mountains are good. The food, Service and Hygiene of the place is worth rating 5 star. I recommend everyone to visit there to gain a wonderful experience

Simply a superb place to unwind. The location, the rooms, the Gurung family who runs the show at the homestay and all the staff are just wonderful. Superb home-cooked food and the simple but pure-hearted smiles of everybody there will certainly uplift your mood. Do taste the local pickle they will serve if you request.

We went here after reading reviews on Google and Trip Advisor and decided to call them up and see if they were available. Luckily, they were in spite of the extreme rush during the christmas time. I would really suggest that you book this place well in advance if you want to stay here because this place sells off FAST. The place gave us tea in the morning and the afternoon with biscuits. The breakfast, lunch and dinner are always prepared fresh and served HOT. They are a homely meal and the people who serve it always have a smile on their face and would tell you to "Take another roti" and "Itna kam kyu khaya?" like a family member would. The owners themselves help out and it shows because the service is emaculate. No complaints. If I ever go back to Tinchuley, I am definitely staying here. PS: Google Maps doesnt quite work properly here. It will almost completely take you there. If you think you are lost, call the owners. They will help you. BOOK room from THEIR website.

Stayed for 3 nights... Amazing experience amidst mountains. We were 8 families and had great view from all 8 rooms. Mr Gurung met us once and made us feel very homely. Except the manager, everybody was very caring and overwhelming - especially Rajendar who always had a smiling face and did everything possible to make our stay special. Food there was fresh, mouth-watering and always on time. The guest house has everything beyond expectation in such a place. Hope to be there soon again.

It's really a lovely location to stay, alongwith the hospitality of the aged couple Nagen Singh Gurung and his wife.
