This place is very beautiful ,serene surroundings, peaceful and extremely outstanding.highly recommended for nature lovers,as this property is a vintage bunglow belongs to British era, interiors are decorated with beautiful unique antiques,good food of choice,chef preparation is too good and pampering your taste buds.Neat,clean and spacious rooms with balcony where you can sit and enjoy morning and evening tea with a panoramic view of shimla hills, property owner,Mrs.Reeta Suri is a nice and very cooperative lady,Mr.vijay Suri sir is so humble and very helpful.please come here you will definitely fall in love with this property and caretaker Ms.Akanksha is so much helpful ,for making my stay so good .

We discovered this place through a friend who had been there. It was a blissful experience wherein you could totally unwind and leave the stress of city life behind. The view from the rooms were amazing as it over looked the valley especially the sunset. Hospitality was simply out of the world with people being at the beck and call to take care of your wishes. Food was cooked to our choice and served piping hot. Barbecue was organised at short notice and the best part was the piping hot roties which were my personal favourite. The most amazing part was the personal involvement of the owners to ensure smooth working and finally the 80 yr old graceful lady of the house will be an inspiration to all with her stories and how to live life to the fullest. One my best trips ever. I do plan to come here more often now

Best part is the view from Balcony... simply amazing and mesmerizing.....you can sit there for a long time with a cup of tea in your hand while admiring the creation of God.... Resort is located a little away from the crowdy places and is perfect for a peaceful retreat to rejuvenate yourself. Room is very big with plenty of natural lights with privacy at the same time. Food is like home cooked meal and staff is very polite. Mr Suri is very helpful and will go out of the way to help you.

Everything in Groombridge Estate was perfect . Reaaaally perfect !!!! I would never choose a different hotel in Shimla. The view from this family owned boutique hotel is just stunning, really breathtaking. You feel like a bird in a nest on the top of a tree. This hanging garden is a home away from home. Located 15 minutes walking away from the heart of the village, it gives you peace and a really calm atmosphere Very confortable bedding, large bathroom and the mini Bar is full with everything you need, and whatever would be missing is just one call away to the front desk. The food is absolutely fabulous and made to minute from a kitchen with a big window where you see the chef at work. I strongly recommend the home made butter chicken !!!! The staff is super nice and helpful at any time. The owner Vijay pampered us like he would have done with his own family. So nice, discrete and friendly attitude. He knows everything about the surroundings and will help you with a huge smile to organise any tour, visit or treks in the area. We were also very lucky to meet his mother who is at the origin of the place, this women is just incredibly kind, gentle and beautiful from both inside and outside. In a nutshell, we really felt at home there and can't wait to come back.

We stayed here for 3nights. We booked the room named iris. It is the room on the topmost floor, facing west. The view from the room was fabulous. It had a small sitting place outside the bedroom, from the window of which northern mountains can be seen. The room is very cozy, clean and had the necessary amenities. The heater was chargeable, though. The rooms look exactly as shown in the photos by the owner -- perfect place for a stay amidst nature, a little away from the noise but not too far. It is just 30mins walking distance from the Ridge. The food there was great and yummy! They always served them hot. On the first day, there was very heavy snowfall within a very short time, and we got stranded with very low phone battery. The lady from the resort sent two of their boys to escort us to the resort at nearly 11'o clock at night in very heavy snowfall. The owner, Mr Suri, himself called and made sure we make up to the resort safely. On reaching the resort shivering and completely drenched in snow, we were offered hot tea and all the warm comfort and welcome possible. So, yes, the place is very safe and provides excellent care to their guests. During our stay, Mr Suri invited us to his house for some tasty snacks and drinks and a friendly chatting. His home is also lovely. In spite of the room heater, they provided us with a complimentary hot water bag also. Overall, a great stay with great hospitality as well as a great view from the bed.

A fabulous estate located just outside the city. It's a serene location and the perfect place to unwind. Mr Suri is the perfect host and he spoils you for choice. The staff was very helpful and they go the extra mile to make you feel at home. The food is excellent and it's as good as home-cooked meals. This place is definitely recommend for stay in Shimla. Mr Suri was also kind enough to give us a tour of his home which has more artifacts than a museum. Will definitely visit again

Groombridge is the kind of hotel that takes the meaning of the word "homely" to the next level. I have never stayed at a place with staff so caring, food so tasty and fresh, rooms so cosy and spacious, and views so drop dead gorgeous. This trip to Shimla brought with it memories to keep for a lifetime, and a large portion of them were centered around dinner tables at Groombridge, watching gorgeous sunsets . We were treated with a feast for every meal, and the staff cared for us like family. The location is super perfect as well, with Mall Road within walking distance. The flower themed rooms are very spacious and comforting to stay in, and are accompanied with custom rhododendron flower drinks! To summarize, there is no way you can go wrong choosing Groombridge for your trip to Shimla!

Hotel is at very peaceful place and little away from city. Thank god monkeys were less here because previous experience in Shimla hotel was very bad due to monkey menace. The bed of our room was very comfy and I had a sound sleep. The chef Ranjit himself meets you at breakfast and dinner he clearly misses no opportunity to infuse every dish with a personal finesse. Pan cakes made by him were really delicious. Mr. Suri, the owner is a Wonderful person with immense knowledge of local flora and fauna which made our trek special as he narrated stories related to local area and Oak forest. My favorite place in the hotel is the deck from where you get a view of Shimla through the forest. I wish there were more activities for my kids also.
