Gorewada Nature's Trail: A nice trail in nature, the ticket per person costs 20 INR, recommending to visit early in the morning. The timings are: morning 6 am to 10:30 am and 2 pm till 5:30 pm. The trail is closed in the evening because the predators come out in the evening. A really good experience, you can also spot birds if you are an avid bird watcher. One of the good things is they do have public toilets there. A humble request to anyone visiting this trail, please do not litter and preserve the beauty of Gorewada.

It's a forest reserve area grown over a man made lake made by the Gond community people whose roots are from south Dravidian tribe. This lake made the surrounding area lush with green and a habitat for various biodiversity. This year 2023 there is no water in the lake which is quite saddening. They allow people for morning and evening walks. Good for nature lovers. Do not litter this place when you come here. It is peaceful place with variety birds. And yes there is threat of wild animal attacks so it's at ones own risk here I guess... There is a trail of 2-3 kms pathway allowed and beyond that public are not allowed now due to restrictions laid by the officials. If you are lucky you can get to see peacocks deers and lot of birds. Avoid during rainy season as roads are slushy and not paved. Parking is to be done on the highway at our own risk for which there should be some arrangement made by the officials.

I often visit this place at morning hours for walk with my family and friends. Its gives sense of walking inside Jungle. You can hear peacock voice and sight Nilgai. After walking 3 Km the road is closed due to leopard presence. I prefer to visit this place in morning hours to have walk in healthy pollution free and oxygen rich zone. Entry fee of Rs 30 is charged. Original id is required. Monthly pass can also be made.

Rustic, refreshing and beautiful. Lots of water foul and peacocks. Listen to the sounds of jungle, smell of the jungle....a must visit in midst of an expanding city

Beautiful bio reserve created around the Gorewada lake and surrounding forest. It is a bird-watcher's paradise. Other than the conveniently placed sitting benches and a gazebo, the place has not been unnecessarily spoiled in the name of 'development for the sake of tourism'. The scenery is breathtaking! It is a place to experience raw nature and various ecosystems. We take the kids to show them the birds, the wetlands, the marine life that is seen at the edge of the lake, bamboo groves, squirrels and at times, large monkeys on the trees. We even spotted what was probably a leopard kill in the natural canopy created by the bamboo trees (a little way from the start of the nature trail). The remnants of the prey, a goat, were seen. Adding a picture of it. You can see a variety of birds, migratory and local. Herons, egrets, ducks, cormorants etc are seen in plenty. If you want to photograph, you will be charged a higher price for entry. Despite the much better maintenance, it is sad that there is still some amount of garbage strewn here and there. The solar powered lights have also been destroyed by the visitors. But it is much less compared to other such places in Nagpur. This is the best place to take kids for a real natural experience within city limits.
