A tiny tea outlet in the heart of Chandannagar which has its roots deep into the lushy tea gardens of Darjeeling. Though tiny, it has huge stock of various qualities of tea - first flush, second flush, fannings, green tea, etc.etc. Though not much of a tea enthusiast, the Bangalee in me wanted a beverage which is light yet full of flavours. And Golden Tips fits the bill perfectly. Have purchased tea from the same while my visit to Darjeeling and when I asked them "how can I get this tea in Chinsurah -Chandannagar area?", they smiled and assured me that Golden Tips is available in Chandannagar, so I needn't worry about that. Yes, they were right. Purchased first flush tea, fannings and tea infuser from the chandannagar store. The lady who attended me explained gleefully the process of using the infuser, as I wasn't aware of it before. Plus she explained all my queries. I asked her "why there is so much variety in price of each and every variant?" She : pricing depends on quality and quality depends on where the tea is grown. For example, if the leaves are from the tea gardens from a higher altitude, it is considered premium quality as it has maximum flavour due to suitable weather conditions available at high altitude. So, it was great to know about our humble Bangalee "Cha" which comes all the way from Darjeeling, the queen of hills. Though the store has accomodation for in-house tea tasting session, I missed out on that due to lack of time. But will definitely come back to experience the same sometime.

Darjeeling tea is always close to my heart. I'm really glad now golden tips is available here with so many range of tea including some attractive flavours. It's a great ambiance. I don't know any other Tea bar in Hooghly district, so I'm assuming this is the first one.

It was a great experience visiting Golden Tips Chandannagar. Great ambience and very good reception received. Came to know about various health benefits of tea and so many different kinds are there. I got special tea for myself and family and it was great. A must visit for tea lovers !!
