Giribala temple is a historical temple constructed by granddaughter of Rani Rashmami, Srijukta Giribala Dasi. Radha Govinda worship here. The temple architecture is mostly like Dakshineshwar Kali temple with some unique art work on the wall. The main temple is totally maintained by the temple authority. I feel amazing for my first visit. The surrounding area is also worth a visit for a fresh afternoon.

Giribala temple is the most popular and oldest temple in panihati (panati village) beside Ganges river . This temple builed by giribala dasi ( grand daughter of Rani rasmoni) . The ghat is clean and fair. But if you want to enter this ghat, you have to go inside a little. But it is good to see the architecture here. But in the evening sometimes a few boys come who are not polite, say various bad things. And the disadvantages here are that there is less light in the evening, which means you have to go inside a little, so there is no light at the entrance and there is no food shop in front of this ghat, in fact there is no shop. But the fun of sitting in this ghat and eating air is different.
Giribala temple at Agarpara is about 6 km north of Dakshineswar. It was set up 56 years after the Dakhsineswar which was set up by Rani Rashmoni in Bengali 18th Jaistha 1262. Giribala the grand daughter of Rani Rashmoni set up this temple on the same day Bengali 18th Jaistha 1318 (1911 AD) at a cost of Rupees 3.5 lacs. Main temple has idol of Radhagobinda jeu. It has atchala panchachur, natmandir, nahabat khana, six Shiva mandirs, namely, Rajeswar, Rameswar, Gopeswar etc. The temple has intricate beautiful designs depicting stories and religious events. The adjacent bathing ghat is also very well maintained. The total ambience is very exhilarating and peaceful.
