Excellent govt guesthouse in a prime location. Rooms are nicely maintained with complimentary breakfast. Food is very good and quantity too. Courteous staff.

I had an absolutely delightful stay at Gitanjali Guest House! The accommodations were top-notch, providing a comfortable and cozy environment. The staff was friendly( except on of the guard ), attentive, and went above and beyond to ensure my needs were met. The guest house was well-maintained and had a pleasant ambiance. Additionally, the location was convenient, with easy access to nearby attractions. I highly recommend Gitanjali Guest House for a truly wonderful and memorable stay!

Government guest houses by far are the most spacious ones and this one gives u the liberty of 500 soft of room with serene views a good 1.5 ton ac, a good sit out place. It does have to improve in maintenance of its bathrooms which bear a brownish appearance and look below grade. They have a restaurant downstairs which prepare good tasty meals. Pretty friendly staff and they would go out of their way to make you feel comfortable. Never heard that right?? Yes u heard it right

One of the best place to stay in Agartala. Spacious rooms, nice location, excellent service, polite behaviour of staff.

Great Place to stay with family and friends. The staffs are very nice and welcoming. Must visit this place, if you're travelling to Agartala.

Location and food is good. Rooms are also okay but a bit overpriced. But the service and the behaviour of its manager is very bad. He thinks of himself as the boss, it doesn't seem that he is providing a service.

The property is huge and there's a big lawn outside the main entrance. Reasonably well maintained. The room was also huge. Though it looked reasonably neat, small things popped up - walking barefoot on the floor made feet dirty. It was not that clean. Hardly 1-2 plug points. Kettle available - but no cups or sachets of tea/coffee available. The cupboard was tilting with the base broken on one side. We requested for another room but none was available due to elections being around the corner. The bathroom was just about ok. Paint had peeled off on the wall and the toilet wasn't that clean. They had an ancient geyser that had to be turned on and off and the switch for it was at a height that women couldn't reach. The switch looked sketchy too. Food - breakfast was very basic with just bread butter jam, cereal milk and boiled eggs available daily with 1 extra dish. We didn't eat other meals here as the food seemed quite average. I would consider this guest only if you can't find any other place or are looking for budget place.

We stayed at this hotel for 4 nights with my family and had 3 rooms booked. Pros: - Fantastic location at the heart of the city. - Huge lawns and spacious rooms. Cons - Bad service and rude housestaff. Especially the kitchen staff requires special mention for their attitude and smile less faces. Feels like they are doing a favour doing the job they are employed for. - Some of the furnitures are getting worn out - Very basic and same breakfast spread every morning. On the last day we were only served idli. Even bread was missing and they said bread wasn't delivered this morning - Bathrooms especially needs to be cleaner. Overall not worth the price.
