The ancient Garuda temple is present in Pauri district, about 10 km ahead of Rishikesh and about 18 km before Neelkanth Mahadev temple. This place is also called Garuda Chatti. It is said that in order to get rid of the curse of the sage, Lord Garuda did severe penance at this place. Along with this, in the past, this place was also a place of rest for the pedestrians going to the Char Dham. Situated on the Manikoot mountain, this temple is famous for the prevention of Kaal Sarp Dosh....!!!!
Temple is simple and small, but feel a good spiritual power there
It's a very small temple surrounded by a pond full of dirty water and fishes. Very close to the temple is a waterfall which didnt have much water in March. There are no pandits in the temple. The temple is on the main road and thus not very quiet either but it still felt good to be there.
Garudchatti is just 3.3 km away from LAXMANJHULA Bridge you can come here by walk in in day time but after sunset it's not safe because wild animals. So peaceful place enjoy the beauty of nature.

The mandir was situated next to a huge lake where u can take pics of people doing rafting. Just a small temple with some monkey and Langoor around it.
