Ganga Resort, GMVNL - Resort hotel in Rishikesh - Tehri Garhwal, India

Situated on the banks of the River Ganga. From your room you can see the Majestic river. Ganga aarti happens close by. Evenings are spectacular. The hotel has provided comfortable benches to enjoy the sight and sounds of the gushing River. A beautiful place to stay. The staff is very supportive. The food is good!

Probably the best place location wise, as once you reach there, on one side, you will find Triveni ghat walking about 1.5km pleasant walk by the side of Ganga and other side, about 1.2km walk along wise Ganga for Parmarth Niketan, via Jaanki jhula. Staying here you can avoid terrible traffic of Rishikesh significantly. From the resort rooms, beautiful Ganga view and mountains in the background look amazing. Rooms and good size, clean and decently maintained (we stayed in super deluxe rooms in 1st floor). Restaurant is highly understaffed with limited options in complimentary breakfast. But overall the stay there was amazing.

Location and the amount of space are the best part of this property, otherwise it isn't really value for money. I paid almost 7000 for a room that didn't feel worth the amount. The place needs a lot of work to be done. They charge a premium price for a room that feels old and ill maintained. If you're looking for a place right on the river and don't mind spending, book this place. Good: location, parking space, spacious property overall, good support staff. Cons: old, dated, ill maintained room, apart from the waiter all other staff in the restaurant is ill mannered. They won't even respond to you properly.

The location of the resort is good but it all ends there except for 1 or 2 good staff members (morning staff only) The resort looks clean only from outside.The room allotted to us (River view) was full of dust each & everywhere - floor, tables, furniture etc.We paid extra to clean the same.The pics displayed on website or booking engine don't match the reality at all. The furniture seats were torn & some of the furniture broken. The food was below average.Breakfast was served cold with just 2 items. Overall the resort is in a very bad shape. Shockingly I paid around 8k on triple occupancy for all this. As opposed to this I had very good experiences @ kmvn properties last year (Kumaon)

Location is good. You can see Ganga river from your rooms.Rooms and service is also good. Only negative is the buffet breakfast. Poha, aloo parantha with curd, sandwiches with cucumber and tomato and some sort of chutney in it. No butter with parantha s or in sandwich. One covered dish had even bananas in it!. For 7000 bucks a room this type of breakfast is a joke

Only issue i faced is to find the lane of property. If we miss it in traffic we have to roam around 1hr to reach it again. They should really put a large sign board on the road and unblock lane for reach-ability. Rest are all good. Staff are courteous.

Average place. Bit affordable for people like us, lower middle class..if you often count cash and keep all records then it's for you. No issues of hygiene, cleaning and car parking..have fun

Great place to stay and all staff are extremely co operative and very helpful. To name a few Mr Jitendra, Mrs Anita, and Mr Pratap Chauhan very very caring. Highly recommend to stay and enjoy the hospitality.
