Gamefishing Asia - Fishing charter in Port Blair - South Andamans, India

Just returned from a short 4 days successful popping and jigging trip with Gamefishing Asia. The weather and tide was not on our side but the captain still manage to find some good size GT , dog tooth and some others fish for us. The charter, transport and accommodation were all well organised, our captain was fantastic and the fishing was wonderful. A big thank you to Mr Darran Davis and staff for all the service, especially the food for my allergy. Will definitely come back again.

I have had the opportunity to do fishing trips in many areas of the world and the one that we have just completed with Gamefishing Asia was probably the first time that our expectations were surpassed from a fishing perspective. We fished hard and were rewarded with well over a 100 good size GTs and several other species in the 6 days that we fished. Our skipper and crew were amazing and incredibly knowledgeable. Our boat was great with plenty of space to comfortably fish four persons. This is a trip for the able-bodied if you want to get the most out of the experience. Listen to the advice regarding tackle and bring in your liquor via duty free as India is very expensive and it's hard to get on the Andamans. Great experience, thanks to Darran and his team!

I don't post a lot of reviews, but I felt compelled to write this one: My friends and I are traveling home today after a wonderful four day stay with Darran and Angeline at their Kokari Guest House in Port Blair, Andaman Islands. Their hospitality was first rate all the way, as were the comfortable lodgings and excellent meals prepared in-house by their staff. After a friendly pickup at the airport we arrived at the guest house where we were personally welcomed by Angeline and offered cold beverages and a snack. Darran then sat down with us to answer our questions and give us an idea of what our daily schedule would be like. We were here to fish so it was important to us to have a sense of how we could best prepare for each day, what the weather and ocean condition forecast was, how the fishing had been earlier in the week, etc. The night before we were to fish Darran personally went over our tackle with us and set the drags on each of our reels so that they matched our individual abilities. That attention to detail was important in assuring us the best chance of hooking and landing the powerful giant trevallies that roam the waters around the Andamans. The weather was unsettled during our first two days due to a distant typhoon. Darran constantly monitored the ocean conditions and gave us updates on what to expect. When a small craft advisory was issued on our second day, and no boats we're allowed out of the harbor, he and Angeline helped us to plan some sight seeing and gift shopping. The support staff at the guest house was exceptional. Their friendly and welcoming nature made us feel like VIPs. I came to know most of them by their names and found myself wishing that I could know more about them as individuals. Our boat captain, Rama, and his deckhand, Anin, were expert in their knowledge and abilities. They instructed us in proper casting, hook set and retrieving techniques while making sure we stayed well hydrated and properly fueled for the work that is involved in this demanding type of fishing. With their help each of us were able to catch and release trophy fish. Rama photographed each catch, instructing us in how to pose for the best result. At the end of each day he met us back at the guest house and shared all the photos he had taken. The Andamans are one of the most amazing places on earth. We fished the waters around so many beautiful and uninhabited islands with white sandy beaches and waves lapping against rocky coastlines with giant trevally cruising underneath the foamy chop. The sea was a spectrum of the most amazing hues of blue, ranging from a deep blue to aquamarine and many shades in between. This place is untapped compared to other sport fisheries. It oozes with the potential of catching a personal best on each cast. Our experience was enhanced by swapping stories and exchanging contacts, over a beer at the end of each day with other guests from Singapore, Japan, India, Thailand and Germany. I learned so much. Thank you Darran, Angeline and all of your staff for making this such a wonderful experience for me and my friends. I want to come back again, and again.

We had an amazing trip with GFA in Andaman... It's serious sports fishing gaming fun and we had got catch almost every day in the sea.. Captain was amazing and the boat is new and clean ... Will do it again with GFA !!

Just back from a fantastic 8 days fishing with gamefishingasia and I couldn't recommend them enough from the boat crews to the guest house staff and the management team they all looked after us and nothing was too much trouble the accommodation was clean and the food was great good wifi connection to contact home and very good air con we caught some great fish and over 8 species landed I can't wait to book again in the future

If you are looking for some great deep sea fishing with a very knowledgeable crew, comfortable place to stay with home cooked food, would highly recommend Gamefishing Asia. We were a group of 8 with varied experiences and the team made us very comfortable with a great experience. And it was always refreshing to come back to a comfortable stay with tasty home cooked food. The team also took care of making us comfortable on the day long fishing trips with packed food and refreshments, most importantly they were flexible to our needs. Most important GREAT FISHING. The teams are extremely knowledgeable of the area, well equipped and ensured we had a great experience with some outstanding catches. Tight Lines all around. Would love to be back.

Darran runs a class A operation. Accommodations are clean and comfortable. Food is delicious. Boats are modern and well equipped. Skippers and mates are skilled and knowledgeable. Staff is wonderfully attentive. Most importantly, fishing is awesome. It's an angling ideal when you are casting to savage GTs in beautifully clear turquoise waters, amongst stunningly pristine tropical islands. GT are plentiful, good sized, and hungry for top-water lures. All I can think about is going back.
