Alright, so my friends and I were hanging around Mall Road, looking for a place to eat. We stumbled upon this place and wanted to try something. The owner, who was an old man, seemed nice and invited us in. We all sat down, and he started telling us about various food items he could offer, like the rum cake or rum coffee. We were a bit confused about what to order, so we asked him to give us the best one. He told us about his cheesecake, claiming it was the best one we could ever find. Also he kept bragging about how a video of his cafe has 1M views on YouTube. I asked for a menu to see some other options, but he said they didn't have one. Strange, right? Inside his cafe, there were various food items listed, but not the prices. When he returned with the cake, we all tried a small piece because it was really tiny. When we asked for the price, he said it was only 640, which was obviously overpriced. We were shocked because the cake wasn't worth the price. After paying for it, we requested a water bottle, which was also overpriced for its small size. All I want to say is that the atmosphere inside is great, and the food is decent, but it is overpriced. So, please avoid this place if you are on Mall Road.

Pathetic. Just pathetic. They gave us rum cake and cheesecake which was microwaved. Coffee was served on a disposable cup which cost not even Rs. 1 for such an expensive cup of coffee. When asked for a fork or spoon to have the rum cake, the owner simply said have it with your finger and was not even offered napkins. It is not overpriced but extremely overpriced. So avoid this at al cost. Thank you

The place is amazing and the food is worth trying. Uncle knows very well the hungry eyes and he serves exactly what you need at exact point. The most amazing thing is you will get a feel of diagon alley from harry potter series. But you may found uncle and aunty a bit wierd but the best way to get the best out of them is be kind and modest and trust on their taste. Trust me, you won't regret. It is over priced but if you compare it with taste, you will get to know why it is overpriced!

Good coffee, cheesecake, and conversation. The owner is a genuine person who has his own opinions and perspectives. He may have some challenges with communication, but he is open to feedback and improvement. He does not deserve the harsh criticism that some reviewers have given him for being himself. I appreciate his honesty and authenticity. Would love to visit for another coffee and definitely for the chat.

WORST PLACE EVER. The aesthetic of this place will lure you in but as soon as you enter you'll meet a ARROGANT OLD MAN who will scam you into buying the most expensive food. The place doesn't have a menu card. The dishes are mentioned on the walls but without their price. We ordered a walnut cake, rum hot chocolate and fudge which costed us Rs.1400 which is way over the top for the quantity and quality. I asked for a spoon and EXTREMELY RUDE AND JUDGEMENTAL OLD MAN tells me to use my hand and eat. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY HERE.

Rude & arrogant owners, with mediocre and overpriced food. The ambiance of the restaurant is good, but they charge you for the same! Their takeaway is already overpriced, imagine the bill that you'd pay to eat anything inside the restaurant! And we're talking about some average food here, not something spectacular even. The food/ bakery section is avoidable, however, their ice cream corner is decent.

It's an old renowned cafe in shimla. It was about to close when we first entered there but the owner was so humble that he opened it for us and some and allowed us to dine in. I enjoyed having chocolate brownie and famous apple almond cake. Also you must try the hot rum coffee served here. Inside the cafe you can see many books which suggests that the cafe owner have a good taste in terms of reading. It's old yet beautiful. It have an antique look from inside which makes it so different from the other cafes around. Highly recommended.

PLEASE DO NOT GO HERE! They don't have fresh cakes AT ALL. They served us a box of stale cakes for Rs1,600. We tried their Kashmiri Chicken Biryani as well - all 4 of us are suffering from stomach ache. Maybe in the past they earned some good reputation, but now they've completely ruined it. Again, PLEASE DO NOT GO HERE.
