I had a wonderful stay at the homestay! The place was clean and cozy, and the host (Aunty and Nocy) was incredibly welcoming and accommodating. I highly recommend this homestay to anyone looking for a comfortable and enjoyable experience.
Can find better stays for the same price around this location. Rooms are very small
Average rooms with basic facilities. Location wise it is not convenient because the road is very narrow to reach this place only small vehicles will reach there. The best thing of this stay was their breakfast.
Nice little homestay in Lachhumiere area close to PB( 10 mins walk). Rooms can accommodate upto 3 people, has geyser for hot running water, electric kettle. Parking is available in the compound which is a big bonus considering Shillong's parking crisis. Owners are warm and welcoming, best to access it through the Mawlai ISBT Bypass rather than the old Mawlai route. Will recommend highly.
A decent place to stay in Shillong. Big advantage you stay near to market. Wards lake is at walkable distance. You also have good few restaurants near by. You will be also provided with simple complimentary breakfast. Had a small discussion with uncle and aunty .
Elwin Home Stay is located centrally in Shillong, very convenient for people who have work in and around the government offices there. Rate charged for the room/s is affordable. The friendly host/owner sees to your comfort during your entire stay there. It's got a serene feel to it. Clean too. Water's available 24/7. Food served is also good! Do ask for Garo local dishes from Aunty, who will serve, happily. Try out any Kapa/Kappa! Needless to say, PB (Police Bazaar) is just a walk away, where you will find it almost difficult to shop as you get swayed by the crowd, especially in the evenings. But, hey, that's the fun of it all, right? Catch a local taxi back to the house, and relax.
Great place to rest your busy day after roaming in and around shillong. The lady running the home stay is very friendly and speaks English so well. So communication wont be a problem. Highly recommend to take a room and have a nice rest if you are visiting shillong.
