St. George Forane Church, popularly known as Edathua Church is situated in Alappuzha and is dedicated to St George. It is believed that prayers and offerings at this church would help heal diseases including mental disorders. Built in 1810, it is among the prime attractions in this tranquil backwater district. The annual feast of the church sees believers from across the southern parts of the country.

Nice experience. Visited this church many times since 2001. One of the biggest church under Roman catholic rite. Comes under Changanassery arch diocese and is a famous pilgrim center as well. Church is in the name of St. George and every year in the month of May, the parish celebrate the feast day. There are mainly 3 churches in the name of St. George which are famous among devotees. One of it was this church. I love to be here and I recommend this place. I welcome everyone to visit this church.

One of the Most famous pilgrimage in Kerala. The Devition to St. George is very high. People from Other States like Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Telangana comes here to see the Saint to interceed their needs to him. Every year From the Month of April to May the festival Begins.

It's my first time attending the mass of this eduthuva church. It's too good( big church) and beautifully maintained. Most importantly my heart was calm and I was having peaceful mind.
