Myself and other 6 of our friends stayed over here during 2020 January. The food, stay are so good and it is more secure and easy accessible to all other destinations. Amazing
We booked for 10 days and during this period we stayed in other lsland also for 3 days keeping our luggage etc in "Dutt's Residence", but owner of this house Mr Surajit Dutta( Really a perfect gentleman) has charged us for only 7 days.Not only this he has also guided us properly and also arrange & organize our trip in a easy ,comfortable way. Our children was also very happy and they played with kitten almost every day.
( Very Poor)The owner is very cheap and greedy. They canceled my booking because some one give more money. When I approached them in evening for check-in apx at 7 pm with my family they asked me that your booking price is less pay 3000 if you want to stay here so don't book this place
A Home away from home During March this year we (four of us) had the pleasant experience of staying here for 6 nights. The accommodation is located in Port Blair just 3.4 kms from the Airport and 2.7 kms from Phoenix Bay Jetty. If one is yearning for a silent, yet unforgettable holiday experience with the family or a small group this place is really good. (Sorry if somebody wants a 5 star experience) No expansive front desk, no crowd, no lavish restaurants made us feel and experience a pure homely ambience. There is a big covered balcony at the second floor which is a virtual roof top restaurant wearing the green colour of mother nature. Sumptuous and tasty pre-ordered home-made food was promptly served by very courteous staff. For the entire trip (13Days/ 12Nights) Mr.Dutta was also able to arrange logistics and accommodation at every place/ island we travelled in a very professional way at a comparatively cheaper cost.
The stay is close to airport and is a junction to reach many places in Port Blair. It gives a very homely feeling and is very clean. The food is also good and the staff is very helpful. They also provide Two- wheeler for rent. Altogether a very good and affordable place to stay.
overall stay was okay , if you are a budget traveler things i liked about stay . 1:- Is close to airport , not so far . 2:- staff was nice . 3:- Food quality was good ,home made food. 4:- On requesting they provided early breakfast , that is bread,jab,butter and omelette . Disliked * 1:- location was not so good . I did't find anything near by . 2:- We booked 2 bhk house but AC was available in single room and temperature was really not so good . somehow we have to manage in single room entire night . 3:- Apartment was at the edge of the road , with very high steep edge , i was scared for a second after reaching . 4:- it was very difficult to check-in as i didn't find anyone at apartment has to go here and there to find someone . 5:- Please go pre-plan if are planning to stay here , you might not get transport so easily on arrival .
One of the best places I have ever stayed in my life. The owner is very helpful. The place is very peaceful. Mr. Surajit Dutta of Dutta's Residency is a Man of word. For five night and six days, the advance I paid was just 5,000/-. All arrangements were made by him with no money from me. I paid all the money only during my checkout. Rooms were too good and worth paying. Attenders were cordial and loyal. No hidden charges or extra payment. I paid as in their tariff. My family had a pleasant stay. It's a secured and reliable Homestay. I admire Mr. Dutta's hospitality and generosity. You may opt this place with no hesitation. You will love it. Thanks
