Dumas Guest House - Guest house in Puducherry - Pondicherry, India

This was a gem of a stay. Prime location with rock beach just 50m away. It is a mix of old architecture combined with modern facilities . The rooms were spacious and clean. Top notch service from the staff. They were very accommodative and kid friendly . This stay was they highlight of our trip.

I personally had a fantastic experience dumas. From check in to check out the staff took a really good care of us. The breakfast was fantastic specially the croissants. The staff made sure they clean everything in the room and outside of the room as well.

Location is excellent, on the lane just next to promenade beach. Beach is 2mins walking distance. Paid parking is within 100m. Stuffs are courteous. Rooms are spacious, well maintained. Inner ambience of this place is perfect if you like solitude. But I found dirty water being accumulated near the entrance of the guest house, which should be taken care by the concerned authority. Also, I found the room rates on the higher side, may be due to its location.

A guest house with utmost cleanliness, large rooms and new bathroom fittings. The location is fantastic...value for money: no parking, no driver accommodation, and no TV in the room. Simple homely breakfast and they feed you with a lot of love. The entire ambiance is very divine. The right choice if you are not on luxury unwind.

Magnifique guest house idealement situee. La vegetation est luxuriante et c'est un vrai havre de paix. Le personnel est adorable et les proprietaires aussi. A 2 pas seulement du bord de mer qui est pieton ... Nous recommandons fortement .

Loved the stay here. Located at the heart of the city - the beach, ashram, temple, market are all nearby and can be covered with a good walk. Rooms were maintained well.

It was a pleasant stay at the well maintained and clean heritage property in White Town and also very close to the Rock Beach. The WiFi in the room was excellent which was unexpected but Room Service was not available though outside food was allowed. The complimentary breakfast was good and the Staff are very helpful and hospitable. There are many plants which makes the rooms naturally cool without the need for AC. Car parking is not available in most parts of White Town but there is a paid parking space near the property. Great locality especially for tourists as there are plenty of cafes and other places of interest including the Rock beach within walking distance. Would highly recommend for others and would love to visit again.

Termite present in my room. It's an old room, not well maintained and smells. Booked a room, got another one. Couldn't bathe well as water was coming at a snail pace. No toiletries given. Unpleasant experience with the check out and the way front desk person operates. Asked for a water bottle while leaving but denied and he insisted it would be billed. It's not about the 20 rs water bottle which can easily be got outside. The way the front desk person spoke is completely unprofessional and rude. I wouldn't recommend this hotel to anybody if you want to enjoy your stay. Most of the reviews are paid ones I guess.
