Drishti Yoga School - Yoga studio in Rishikesh - Tehri Garhwal, India

Having just finished my 200 yoga teacher training with Drishti Yoga School, I highly recommend it! The teachers are amazing and knowledgeable, the hotel staff is so helpful, the food is incredibly tasty and healthy and the field trips are the highlight! The way the course is structured to be rigorous and well paced. The final sessions where you lead the class builds confidence in oneself for teaching after the course.

If you pick Drishti for your yoga school, you will not be disappointed. The staff in the hotel are very accommodating, the kitchen is clean and the food is well prepared, and overall it's just a well taken care of environment. The area you will be in is a great quieter part of rishikesh, up a hill where there is not too much commotion. There are stores right nearby for anything you need. The yoga room is beautiful and spacious. But the most important thing- the teachers are unbelievably amazing. They are so talented and admirable. The classes can be intense, but they make you want to put your all in & they have a lightheartedness that makes it fun. If you get ill, they will drive you to the doctor. They care about your well-being. I would return for further education if I ever got the chance! My only recommendation is for the rooms to get new sheets on the bed when the weekly cleaning takes place!

This year I completed my 200 hour yoga teacher training at Drishti Yoga School in Rishikesh and it was a life changing experience, so if you are thinking about doing a YTT in India I can highly recommend Drishti Yoga School, you will not be dissappointed. The teachers are very experienced, patient and passionate about what they are teaching, which made it very easy for me to become even more passionate about yoga myself. I was surprised to see how the teachers help every student progress in their practice individually, no matter where they were at. Even though it was tough at times, we still had a lot of fun during the classes too. Drishti Yoga School had the whole package, amazing indian food, freshly cooked by super nice kitchen staff, clean and comfortable accomodation, incredible excursions, that brought us students and also the staff closer together as well as a lot of other special events and surprises, that made this yoga school more than just a school. Completing the YTT at Drishti changed me as a person and helped me grow, not only in my yoga practice, but I also had the oppurtunity to learn a lot about the indian culture, about myself and so much more that I can't even put into words. At Drishti Yoga School you won't just learn about yoga and practice it, you will also experience it. I'm very thankful for all the friends I made, everything I learned and that I ended up at this magical Yoga School in the first place. I hope whoever reads through these reviews will be convinced to give Drishti Yoga School a chance and experience the magic themselves.

I completed my 200h Ashtanga/Vinyasa YTT in October 2022 with Drishti yoga school and If you are in the thoughts of doing something similar, I can only recommend to choose this school. Even if you are a complete beginner it should not stop you for jumping on something like this. It becomes easier with a basic knowledge and you can try out more postures but the teachers were great in instructing and modifying for all levels. The teachers were amazing and especially the alignment class with Shiv was one of the classes that we learned the most and that we later on also could take into practice during the Ashtanga and Vinyasa lessons. The Vinyasa classes by Navid were challenging us just perfectly and were very creative. What positively surprised me was also the teaching methodology for mediation done by JK - where we never sat for 1 hour straight meditating on our own (which I thought we would) instead we got to try many different kinds of meditation formats to find what we tune in on the best - this was a great setup. The food cooked by Amit and Sachin was amazing and I never had the feeling that I was hungry or didn't get enough food. The food simply became a highlight between all the classes and movement :) One day we also had an Indian cooking class and cooked a delicious Paneer with the chefs in the kitchen. I felt very safe and even though I did the trip on my own, most of the time was spent with the great batch that I did the course together with and we usually went out in the city together or up to a really nice water fall close by (can also highly recommend to do this - it was a dreamy place to go for a swim with crystal clear water!). The school also organized excursions: we went up to a temple and saw the sunrise over the mountains, we did beach yoga 2 times and also tried acroyoga. It was a lot of fun all of it. Overall my experience was great and I give Drishti Yoga School my warmest recommendation!

I'm Supriya, from Bangalore(India). I'm a certified yoga Teacher, and this could only happen because of the Drishti yoga school, the course was of 200 hours, the most productive decision I ever took, I feel grateful that I choose Them, wanted to enrol myself in some yoga institute, hence I found them on Social media , all the teachers were so wonderful and knowledgeable. I always felt comfortable and cared for during my time there. The course was very in depth and the teachers would always clear any questions we'd have. I made so many amazing friends during my time there. by the end of it I wish I could have stayed way longer than 25 days! Nothing but positive things to say about this place and all the people I met! Highly recommend! :) One suggestion: do try taking some classes, it will definitely help you in your personal growth, even if you don't want to pursue yoga. Hari Aum

:))))) I can't think of any other way to begin this review other than with a smile. I graduated from Drishti almost a week ago with my 200hr ytt. The last month has flown by so quickly, as they all will tell you (even though you might doubt it), and my heart is light. Beaming. Finding a yoga school in Rishikesh proved to be more difficult than I imagined. I picked Drishti because of their philosophy, the subjects we'd be focusing on, class size, the school's location, reading other reviews.. yet I was still unsure of what I was signing myself up for. I went in without any expectations~ other than knowing my body was about to get schooled. My body got schooled, and so did my heart, my soul, my mind. I am sitting at a cafe nearby named Tulsi (you should go during lunch/off time) reflecting on how wonderful it all was, and how excited I am to now head into the 300hr ytt (will update once completed:)). The location is insane. Up in the hills away from the craziness, but still close enough to walk to shops and the Ganges during break/off time. We spent several nights meditating on the Ganges, going out after classes to play pool, go dancing, drink tea. The excursions included are so much fun- don't sleep in!!! To our spot: you get your own bathroom/ lil patio too :) Rooftop for pranayama/ flows depending on the weather. Our food was great. Fruit, veggies, toast, PB, rice, different spiced meals. Shoutout to the kitchen crew. They are so appreciated for all the hard work they do to feed us. Our schedule is long~ you get tired at the end of the day, and it's all worthy. Your body is adapting and growing. I'm grateful to have had a schedule that still provides flexibility in the daytime to take breaks... ok Teachers, how to begin?? They all deeply care about what they do here, and care about their students. I ended up hurting my neck and Rohit (taught us Ashtanga and Alignment) drove me all the way into town to see a chiropractor- Shoutout Rohit, you the man, thank you. From our vinyasa to anatomy to pranayama teacher- each class they taught encouraged me to go deeper within myself, and likewise with the classmates. So many words to say, and yet nothing will do this place justice. If you're having a hard time deciding on a place, it's because it's this one. Thank you Drishti i LOVE you guys xoxo caitie, usa

My time at Drishti Yoga School exceeded my expectations on all levels. All of my teachers were very knowledgeable and fully invested in passing on their knowledge. They were always ready to help and answer all my questions. Our cook, Amid, cooked like the chef, and the meals were always so tasty. The accommodation was great, and the group I had was truly like a family. Our manager, Rohit Ji was always there for us, no matter what we needed. I didn't only learn about yoga but went through tremendous inner healing. I highly recommend this school if you want to learn about yoga in an environment that fully supports you and feels like a family. I am deeply grateful for this experience.
