When you're are planning just reach there early as possible so you can enjoy good time there and enjoy the weather there.Mostly you can get snow falls also.This place is not much famous as gulmarg so reach Srinagar and get some local support to reach here .Just love the place

Doodhpathri has our hearts It was truly an experience! It has amazing lush green landscape,beautiful meadows and gushing water streams. Pictures truly don't define the real beauty of this place . We started late for this place so couldn't spend much time , but all in all this place left us in awe . There are many stalls on the way so you will not be left hungry. You really need to bargain for the pony rides else they charge a bomb, they charge 700-800 per person.Yes, it's their bread and butter but if we don't bargain it will simply leave a hole in our pockets . There are also union cabs which take you around and they charge approx 1500 to visit 4-5 spots .

NOW you can see many budget Hotels in this beautiful Destination which adds to the rustic charm of the place, but it's advisable to plan your stay in advance. Beautiful place but spoiled by tourists and locals. There is a lot of garbage on roads and meadows. Administration plays zero role in maintaining this place , they only collect tickets. Rest is left to others. Hats off to some volunteers who managed to administer traffic. Suggestions: 1. Visit early morning and drive all the way to Doodhganga 2. Enjoy time there till noon 3. Head back to meadows before noon and enjoy walk, horse riding 4. If you reach very early and have ample time, hire a horse and horse to sunset point and lake. It takes around 2 hours up and 2 down. Cons: Be prepared for rain anytime A lot of dirt and mud in meadows

I visited Doodhpathri with my family and it was truly a delightful experience. The picturesque landscape left us in awe, and the opportunity for horse riding added an extra layer of fun to our visit. While not as expansive as Gulmarg or Pahalgam, Doodhpathri is a perfect spot for a picnic. Unfortunately, our plans were slightly dampened by the rain, but that didn't diminish the beauty and charm of this place. Highly recommend for a peaceful getaway amidst nature's splendor.

Place is really good. As of now, the footfall of tourists/locals is less as compared to other tourist spots of kashmir. There are multiple treks around the area. One can enjoy the gushing water of Shaliganga and the majestic meadows. The place is best to spend time in peace amidst the pristine nature. It is a good place to take a break from the hustle of the city. One can also enjoy camping. Restaurants and hotels are there around Doodhpathri within a km radius. It's a beautiful valley, but during festive times there is a huge rush of locals there. Management also doesn't preserve they openly permit locals/companies to operate amusement parks there and by that huge air and noise pollution is there on those festive times and huge cues and traffic jams on those days this is clearly mismanagement of tourism departments there. Avoid your visit there on the local festive time of Kashmir.

Nice scenic view with cold freezing waters. Awesome place. Must visit in Kashmir. If you are afraid of horses, you can walk for 3 kms or take a hired cab.

The view of the valley is breathtaking. We roamed around it. Please be aware of the horse ride and ETV bikes. They will ask for more money. Don't opt for them unless necessary.
