Update on (15/09/2023): The Fort has been closed for visitors. The reason given by the security guards appointed by the BMC is that the fort has been closed off because of the presence of "Charsis" and "Couples". But when there are security guards to stop any illegal or indecent activities then why stop other tourists? Strange! It's a nice location to watch sunrise. Pretty neat too. Nice view of the sea and fishing boats..

Dongri fort is small yet beautiful fort in Mumbai. Fort is now in ruins, but right now efforts are been made by the authorities to keep it clean. If coming from Nalasopara railway station. Take 1 no bus to chauk, get down at last stop and walk for 5 - 10 mins max to reach the fort. Fort offer a best vantage point. Best time to visit it will be sunset and early morning.
Beautiful place to visit and less crowded. Fort is clean and less crowded. However there is nothing much one can do here. Come enjoy the scenic beauty for sometime and then leave. There is a temple and darga before the fort which can be visited. There is also a garden named after Chimmaji Appa where kids can enjoy. There are buses till the garden. Nothing much available to eat.
The fort is in ruin condition but if u are there for some scenic shots the place is for you! The roads that lead to this fort have slopes and are narrow. Views are mesmerising and refreshes u from within. At evening couples and smokers come to this point. Plan a ride to this fort and surely you will enjoy!!
