Diu Fort View Point - Featured Reviews (244)
The Fort of Diu is a colossal structure that occupies a prominent place on the tourist's list. The enchanting fort commands a magnificent view of the sea, and a jetty constructed on the northwestern coast is still underused and was once used to trade with Cambay, Broach and Surat in Gujarat. The lighthouse that one can climb leads to the highest point on the island and provides a spectacular view of the surrounding. Cannonballs litter the entire place, and the parapet has a fantastic array of cannons. Sunsets are amazing!
Nice historical place built by Portugal's, nice place to visit in diu. See old tanks and fort with build in 1535 somethings.. Must visit this place. The Diu Fortress (Portuguese: Fortaleza de Diu or formally Fortaleza de Sao Tome)[1] is a Portuguese-built fortification located on the west coast of India in Diu. The fortress was built as part of Portuguese India's defensive fortifications at the eastern tip of the island of Diu during the 16th century. The fortress, which borders on the town of Diu, was built in 1535 subsequent to a defense alliance forged by Bahadur Shah, the Sultan of Gujarat and the Portuguese when Humayun, the Mughal Emperor attempted to annex this territory. It was strengthened over the years, till 1546. The Portuguese ruled over this territory from 1537 until the Indian invasion of December 1961. Today it is a landmark of Diu and one of the Seven Wonders of Portuguese Origin in the World.
Amazing Portuguese fort. The best fort I have visited so far
It's nice place to visit and the view of sea on the top of fort is amazing
We had noticed this spot from the top of the Diu fort. There is a pathway from the parking of Diu fort which leads this place. This spot was extremely quite and we had enjoyed a quality time here. The views from here are astonishing. You will find some locals fishing from hard to reach places. If you want to chill in a quite place, then this place would be an excellent choice.
The fortress is a large structure on the coast of the Diu island and commands views over the sea. It skirts the sea on three sides. The outer wall of the fort was built along the coastline. The inner wall had bastions on which guns were mounted
It was a beautiful view , Perfect for a photoshoot like pre-wedding photos etc.
A must visit location in Diu, but it's better to go in with a guide to truly admire the magnificent fort. Sea on the three sides and a moat build on the other end the fort stands tall, clean and well maintained. Get your dose of history, and plan to
Only beach that would be open if every other beaches are closed. However, there would no safety and no-one to take care of anyone so it is all your risk but it is really good.

Gangeswar Mahadev Temple is a divine haven. The temple exudes a peaceful aura, and its architectural simplicity adds to its charm. It's sorrounded the bank of Arbian Sea. Surrounded by a serene environment, it offers a spiritual retreat for visitors.
