The place is good and deserves some beautification which will surely attract many tourists. Some people disturb the natural environment by blasting music from loudspeakers and pollute it which needs to be prohibited.
Originally this place used to have a coal mine along with a stone mine. But now only stone is extracted from the river below. We used to have a truck which used to come here to take delivery of stones in the 1980-90s and as described by my father, the road along with the surroundings used to be fully black from the coal that used to fly off of the trucks that carried coal. There is a rapid rise in the level of water as well as high flow which can take anyone along with it and hence one should not try to get into it unprepared. Getting into the river banks is also not recommended. There is a hydropower station located at its vicinity which utilizes the immense flow of this river to produce power.
The place is having raw natural beauty. Although, visited when water level was very less and dragging was going on.
Not safe at night time. Roberry and looting reported. View is good
A permanent place of recreation for Namrupians. Dillighat river always reside in the heart of a Namrupian. It is the lifeline of Namrup where water is used for consumption as well as in Industries. Not only Dillighat, the road leading to Dillighat is also mesmerizing. It also serves as a great picnic spot.
A naturally beautiful place located in between hills of Arunachal border and green tea gardens on the other side. The bridge on the Desang river flown down from the Arunachal hills makes it more attractive. But the best time to visit is during winter when the river water becomes crystal clear and surrounding becomes more than the land of GOD. And the place not far from Namrup town and the roads connects to sivasagar town of Assam which is the place of religious and old palace of Whom dinesty.
Beautiful view.. But the steps should be repair for more convenience.
Visiting Namrup, Naharkatia, Duliajan? You must visit Dillighat. The road towards it is very beautiful and the destination is even more beautiful. You'll enjoy the beauty of the mountains, rivers and the cool breeze.
