Dhenu Atithya - Hotel in Murdeshwar - Uttara Kannada, India

Worse experience ever!! If you don't want to spoil your vacation then do not even consider this stay in your list. Rooms are too dirty(our bed was full of ants when we reached and management denied for cleaning), no electricity , lift won't work most of the time even if it works you may feel suffocation within sec. (As they have removed fan switch from lift) management will not provide any basic amenities such as drinking water, towel, tea/coffee,room cleaning service.Though they have dining area at first floor which not in service they will not provide you plates, spoons if you order food from outside. They have just 1-2 standard room which has enough circulation place (those images are only posted on websites) others are doesn't have breathing space.lucky one who go for direct booking they might get standard room at very high price( 4000/- for single bed AC)as people who doesn't have any option at last moment they end up paying such high price, that's the reason in online booking you won't get good rooms.we were unlucky as we booked online. Management has hired highly uneducated staff mainly for reception. Basic housekeeping service is unavailable at stay. As its religious place 90% guest required early check-in. At the time of booking they will accept early check-in request and assure you the same but that's not the reality. Receptionist behaviour are too rude even they knows their mistakes they won't rectify it instead of that they will start arguments with guests. Even local auto drivers, hotel guys given bad feedback for this specific stay. There are few better options for stay even lodge/homestays are best than this place. Even if stay is not in good condition staff has to be polite and helpful in hospitality field.

Except for its location clos3 to the temple and beach nothing great to talk about this. The apartment is poorly maintained and the lift is in very bad condition. Never have you food there in the restaurant here. It's very bad taste and also the plates were not cleaned properly. Overall the maintenance of this place needs lot of improvement.

Need alot of Improvement in the rooms like proper cleaning and dusting of tables, bed, bedsheet, cupboard/wardrobe and abit more neatness required for toilets

It would have been better if they have atleast cleaned the rooms before checking in , there were hair strands on the pillow covers and bed sheets , bathrooms were below average with worst smell . And u have unpaid visitors such as CoachRoches

In the midst of all types of staying accommodation available nearby I chose it as it has the option of a three bedded room with AC with very nominal charges. Moreover the location of this hotel is very much convenient for going to the temple and all other options are also very close to this place.

Very very small room. Not value for money. Food ok. No room service at all. The photos displayed are very old. Rooms and lift have leakage. Front desk not attentive and non responsive.

I have a great experience in the hotel it's very good location and very near to temple safety for vehicle and family members,hotel staff are very friendly and had a great experience in clean and hygienic.24*7 Opening made us to comfortable

I had the opportunity to stay at the Dhenu Athithya hotel on 19th May 2023, and overall, it was a decent experience. We made our booking through a call, and initially, the hotel quoted a price of 5,000/- for a group of 6 adults and 4 kids. The room was supposed to have 8 beds on the floor and an AC. However, upon arrival, we encountered an issue with the AC. The hotel staff made efforts to fix it but unfortunately couldn't resolve the problem. Despite this setback, we decided to make the most of our stay and went out for sightseeing. During our outing, the hotel called to inform us that a technician had come to check the AC. Unfortunately, we were quite far from Murudeshwar town and couldn't be present for the inspection. In a commendable display of customer service, the hotel staff proposed converting our stay into a non-AC room and adjusted the price accordingly. They charged us 4,000/- for the day, which we found to be a fair arrangement. Over all my stay at the Dhenu Athithya hotel was a generally positive one. Despite the AC issue, the staff's efforts to resolve it and their subsequent offer to convert our stay into a non-AC room was highly appreciated. The adjusted price of 4,000/- for the day was reasonable as well. While the check-in time and the quality of the dormitory were not perfect, we managed to make the most of our stay and enjoy the nearby beach. I would recommend the hotel for its customer service and convenient location. This Murudeshwar place is tourist place so all prices will be high. I recommend to have food at Indraprasthan or Kamath which are very close to the temple. This Hotel guys allowed us to boil milk for my kids. So kind people.
