Devnadi- The Heritage Hotel - Hotel in Haridwar - Haridwar, India

Wonderful location, great staff, beautiful hotel located right on the Ganges. Staff were super friendly and helpful and upgraded us to a room with a balcony over the river which was delightful. Food in the restaurant was tasty and the staff cannot do enough for you. Atmosphere in the restaurant a bit lacking maybe. It's a 25-minute walk through the bazaar to the main ghat and the aarti ceremony, or you can walk the ghats the other side of the river which is pleasant. Special mention for Ekta (spelling?), also the young gentleman who checked us in (didn't get his name) and all the restaurant staff especially one chap who gave us his name but I have forgotten it already.....so sorry! It was a very unfamiliar name for us. At breakfast it was a bit of a bun fight when there was a group of Indian tourists staying at the hotel but the staff made sure there was some food left for us - it was actually quite entertaining. I would say this is a mid range hotel, it's not a budget hotel but neither is it expensive. It's totally worth what we paid.

Devnadi has amazing views of the Ganga. We stayed in Alaknanda room which has a spacious balcony overlooking the beautiful Ganga. The morning Puja and evening aarthi in the private ghat is divine. Highly recommend to attend this. We could take a dip in the holy Ganga without the crowds. Food is delicious and simple. Freshly cooked. The staff even made sandwiches for our breakfast since we had an early morning train to Delhi. Highly recommend to stay here if you visit Haridwar. We stayed for 4 days. Kid friendly hotel.

BEST STAY IN SUITE OF 4 PERSONS. HAD LOVELY DINNER Super cool dedicated Private Ghat A very small yet very peaceful temple besides ghat for prayers. CLEANLINESS HALLMARKED!! ENJOYED SHORT STAY!!! Everything too good except parking...had to park vehicle in public parking and dejected to find Parking lights broken.

The location makes it super perfect Imagine getting a full fledged, uninterrupted view of Ganga Ji from your bed. The hotel's having their private Ghat, and even private Ganga Aarti also. We attended the morning Aarti , it was just an out of the world experience. The rooms lightings should be improved and even the washrooms needs some work .

Everything about this hotel is perfect, starting from room to the service and overall stay. During our stay we wanted to spend some late night time at the ghat but there were few guests who were drinking and smoking at the holy ghat. Apart from this experience the stay was good.

Loved the stay in Devnadi. Very good reception. The rooms are spacious and the location is excellent especially the Ganga aarti in the evening on their own ghats is worth your time. Food is decent and the services provided by the hotel staff are very nice. Look forward to staying again...

It was wonderful stay at Heritage Hotel starting from cheerful guard at gate and front desk female staff all were very humble to welcome you. They made our trip memorable. Specially when you visit their private ghat which is very clean and a small temple is there to offer Ganga Arti that too with the help of Pandit ji who is also great person. All in all perfect stay for family visit. Food was also top notch. Highly recommend this property. We got E-riksha in front of the hotel to roam around the market very conveniently. Car parking is also at safe place very nearby. Approach to main market is easy. Its on Niranjan Akhara Road.

This is the perfect stay in Haridwar! You get beautiful, clean, and comfortable rooms, with very tasteful and functional decor. The location and easy access to the Ganga is unbeatable-- try to get a room with a balcony if you can! The view is incredible. It's also walkable to Har ki pauri, and the front desk can help you find other activities close by as well. If you stay here, you must take advantage of the hotel's private ghat. It's an extremely clean and peaceful place to take a dip or just sit by the river (if you can go at sunrise, its a life-changing experience!). I would also highly recommend attending the evening aarathi held at the hotel itself. The ceremony is very powerful and personalized, and you'll leave feeling so at peace. The staff are mostly very nice and are pretty responsive to any help you need/requests you might have. If you are a foreigner/can't speak Hindi, this hotel is a solid option with the manager (Ms. Ekta) able to communicate well in English, and most of the other staff able to moderately communicate or understand English. As female travelers, we also felt safe at this property and would recommend to other women traveling alone. The food is clean, healthy, and tasty, but don't expect an extravagant spread or anything too indulgent. Our main feedback is that the hotel badly needs to upgrade their towels, which were very old and frayed. But that's a minor thing compared to the quality of our stay and service overall! If you choose to stay here, make sure you get in touch with the staff on how to find the hotel because the navigation can be slightly tricky.
