Beautiful lake surrounded by trees. Its pretty clean and well maintained.
Best for walks Beautiful lake with a hard trail for walks ,wouldn't recommend a jog or a run as the path is quite uneven and broken in parts View is awesome, the stretch is bout 1 km Timings are 6am to 10 am morning 4pm to 7pm evening
A small and beautiful lake among concrete jungle in Devarabisanahalli area. Periphery of around it is about 950m. The timing are morning 6-9 am and evening 4 -7 PM. There is no parking outside the gate of the lake, you need to park on the main road and walk down the cut road to enter the lake area from Adarsh side. It has an entrance from village area as well. The place has seatings, small open air gym and jogging track. Its also good spot for bird watching including, herons, sea crows, nightingale etc. overall its not a bad place to spend sometime. Don't expect too much, just go around for a decent walk.
It's a boon to people who want to spend time with nature. The lake area is well maintained, has a walking trail as well as benches to relax, equipment to workout and gazebos to practice meditation. It's opening times are 6am-9 am and 4pm -7 pm. It has two entry points- one from near Adarsh Palm Villas and another from Deverabisenahalli village.
Overall rating : 4/5 - with great opportunity to improve. This is a really nice lake and a walking trail in the heart of outer ring ring near the Adarsh Palm villas community. Access to the lake and trail: The Devarabisanahalli lake is maintained by BBMP (government) and is NOT private. Public has access to it. The problem is, 1. It is very deceiving bcoz of the RMZ/Adarsh palm Arch/Security that is on outer ring road that makes one doubt that this is excusive/private property. 2. To add on top of that, there is a INCORRECT sign just before entrance to the lake "Entrance Only for Adarsh Palm". They can keep this only at the entrance to the villas not anywhere before that. This needs to be removed and I will bring it up with BBMP. About the trail and Lake: It is a 1Km loop trail. Currently it is a mud trail which is very uneven, so I will NOT recommend this for running/jogging. It is fit only for walking. The water surprisingly drains fairly quickly as it is a raised trail with a lake underneath. It had rained like 24 hours ago , but it was in great walkable condition. The lake is very asthetic, I did see some ducks and little ducklings and would make a great entertainment for kids. There are a few eucalyptus trees in some parts which give a pleasant feeling. It is pretty peaceful except one part which is closer to the road. It has saplings planted at the perimeter of the lake and it will be quite a sight when those become trees. People / house-keepers are already bringing their pets and letting them defecate in the trail which should be avoided. People are also throwing trash like Pooja items in the lake. This can be avoided only if there is more patronage from fellow citizens to access, watchout for abuse of the lake/trail. Parking: There doesn't seem to be any designated parking. It is street side parking. If you are going in 2 wheeler you can park right at the entrance. Cars may need to park slightly away from the gate towards Adarsh palm villas. Infrastructure: There is a gazebo that is getting built and also some building(probably restrooms).. so positive things :) The timings of the lake: BBMP has two signs one at the main entrance and other one at back entrance. Front entrance mentions: 5.30-10am/4.30pm-7pm on weekdays and 5.30am to 7pm on weekends and holidays. Back entrance mentions: 6am-11am/4pm-7pm on all days. It may be better to visit during overlapping hours (6am-10am and 4.30pm-7pm)just to be sure it will be open (though there is no gate for the front side as of writing this). Overall: This is a nice lake that needs patronage to keep it up and going. I'm certain this will evolve into a good hangout/exercise spot.
A decent lake having walkway for jogging & having ample amount of greenary.
Nice to find a lake-side walking trail spanning about 1km on ORR which is packed up with multi storied buildings. It has open air gym, good enough sitting area and hard pathway. May not be recommended for jogging but decent enough for brisk walk. Well maintained lake and trees around. You get to listen to beautiful sounds from variety of birds ... right in the middle of concrete jungle. Suggestions - 1) At 2 places (entrance from village side and a few meters on the right side of main entrance), there are open drainage outlets. It spoils the ambience with the foul smell. Must be rectified. 2) The village side entrance should be cleaned (right now, lots of garbage dumped out there which makes it unhygienic to cross through)
Its a small beautiful lake among concrete jungle of corporations. The circumference around it is about 800m. The timing are morning 6-9 am and evening 4 -7 PM. There is no parking outside the gate and one must do so before going into the cut road. The place has seatings and jogging track. Its also good spot for bird watching including, herons, sea crows, nightingale etc. overall its not a bad place to spend sometime. Just don't go expecting anything too big.
