Its a beautiful place. Its a artificial reservoir made to store water. Its near to Angul township. Its almost 5-6km from the Angul town. Not recommended to visit after dark. Best time to visit is early morning and during sunset. Please do visit but dont make the place dirty. Enjoy fishing too.
One of the best places in angul to visit, most people don't know about this amazing place. I also had no idea about it until I went there while I was posted at angul. This place is breathtaking especially in the evening. The sunset looks so beautiful from the dam. The hills surrounding the reservoir creats amazing scene. Local people come here everyday in the evening with families to spend some good time.

Why Derjanga village details are not showing in google maps, the village host some wonderful scenery. Village of Derjanga has more beautiful scene than the dam section. The fishing art of villagers is different and nice to observe. Best time to visit this village is morning and evening during rainy and winter season. Must visit place. Government should develope this place as a tourist destination.

Derjang Project dam is 12 km away from Angul town.This dam is constructed for reserving water flows from the mountains and two rivers Ningara & Matalia.It is a beautiful view sight and best place for picnic.
