great host, great location. neat and clean rooms. View was good, there is a park and flower center nearby. walkable distance to MG marg. There is a general store, one can buy cakes, biscuits etc. Must try regional donuts. Adjacent to that there is bakery and small eatery with tasty and economical food
Amazing place at a great price. Great food. Excellent service. Little bit distant from the mg marg but is great and quite peaceful. Also scenery was great. Recommended if you plan to stay in Gangtok.
The owner and the overall staff we're very friendly and helpful. The food was very tasty as it was home-cooked and healthy. We loved our stay there and hope to visit this cozy little home-stay again.
A great place to stay in Gangtok. The rooms are spacious and clean with a good Wi-fi connectivity. The bathrooms are great with hot water available. There's a great view from the outer balcony area. The food is divine (the simple roti and chicken combo, for instance, will be enough to blow your mind) and the people are amazing and very helpful.
This place really puts the HOME in Home-stay. One suggestion would be to do something about the build up of moisture in the rooms if possible.
Given the opportunity, I would definitely return to this place again!
when i reached the property after 500 km of bike riding,and called the property owner,she told me to wait for some time. which room was booked by me was not clear, previous guest's luggages were there.after some times she called again and told that find room somewhere else room is not available,what kind of behaviour is this? at 7:30 pm i feel helpless,was forced to find room somewhere else.

Service was very good, rooms were neat and clean as well. The best we experienced here is the home cooked food by a cute and shy person Jeevan. Uncle, the land owner is really helpful and makes you feel like home. He helped us a lot during the journey and I really miss the place Denzong Khim whenever I think about Sikkim trip. Will surely come back one day and stay at the same place.
This has been our best homestay experience to date and we've felt so much at home here than at any place else. Honestly, a rating of even 5 doesn't do it justice and this is largely thanks to its magnanimous hosts.
The owners are such calm, caring, generous, humble people who just go above and beyond to ensure you have a comfortable stay. Every tiny request is heeded to with a smile on their face and they pay attention to every little detail. The breakfast and dinner that you can request for at a nominal cost is simple, homely, healthy, traditional and delicious. They customize meals as per your requirement and plans. Unlike many other homestays, they invite you to their living room where your food is set up. Everything is just so convenient and flexible, right from the check-in to the final payment. We had very specific dietary needs and they took out time to understand and ensure everything was exactly the way we wanted it.
The distance to the homestay may seem a little away from the centre on google maps, but it's just an 800m walk downhill to MG road which is the hub for shopping, eateries and a nice pleasant walk. The area is safe and away from the bustle of the city centre yet very accessible. The facilities and cleanliness of the rooms are comparable to any good 3 star property and the Wifi speed is excellent. Please spend a few extra hundred rupees and select the room with the mountain view. The backdrop of the mountains at Nathula and Tsomgo is simply stunning on a clear bright morning and so are the valley views down below. During the rainy season or towards the end of it, you get breathtaking views of waterfalls and rainbows along with the lush green mountains.
Don't think twice, simply book this hidden gem for a memorable stay and vacation.
I went to the given property after seeing good review, but my personal experience was opposite to what i read, there was Moisture problem in rooms, very small room, lots of insect, spiders in the room, you can see dust and dirt on corners of bed sheet.
