CPWD Government Guest House - Guest house in Port Blair - South Andamans, India

The rooms are decent, but very well considering the price. You can order food from the kitchen here, or have food delivered from other restaurants using Zomato/Swiggy. There's a general store in front of the guest house. The staff is very helpful. If you want to know more about Andaman or need help deciding where to go or booking a cab, they'll help you.

Stayed here for 4 days. Good rooms, Good food but most importantly, Super cordial staff. loved it

It is an awesome place and exactly like five star hotel..Near and clean.Staffs are so kind and polite.

The guest house was good and clean. Spacious rooms and very good staff. Deewakar was super cooperative through our entire 4 days stay. Also, we are vegetarians, so considering the veg options available in Port Blair, the guest house food was really good.

It is a Govt. Holiday home, booking system is very complex procedure. Cleaning is moderate, food quality is good as it is running by a private party. TV is not functional due to recharge problem. Location is remote. Overall ratting is moderate.

If you don't have money and you are OK with getting humiliated, only then stay at this place. Firstly the rooms are pathetic. The furniture is broken and has lots of termite in it. When you open a cupboard, don't be surprised to see a gecko or a big spider. TV doesn't work. Ants everywhere, even on bed. The bedsheet has lot of stains and they will charge extra money for washing sheets. Furniture is decades old. Location is far from city. To go to any place, better to hire a taxi or else walk 500-600m to catch an auto. Coming to service, the caretaker simply sits in hall watching TV. No room service. No any service actually. He will say No to anything you ask except water or booking a cab, probably he gets commission. Meals have fixed quantity. Have to inform 3 hours before meal timings of the requirements else they will simply say not available. Review by KONIKA TANWAR is spot-on for food. Also, they have capacity for atleast 40 people in dining hall but utensils for max 10 people. Don't be surprised if you are served in paper plates without spoon. even though this holiday home is almost always completely booked they don't have sufficient utensils. Book somewhere near Aberdeen. Atleast location wise you'll be happy.

Not sufficient food facility ..cheap by rate and cheap by facilities. Don't go for this. No vehicle facility u will get . No food facility u will get .. only limited food is given by them on ur demand . If u said for 2 chapati then u will get only 2. They will not prepare food on more quantity .. have no special menu limited food . U have to give them order before 4 hrs. From ur meal. Only then they will prepare food for u . Otherwise u Don't have any other option rather than biscuits or cookies or the stuff what u have . Bad experience about food about cleanliness.. U have to just survive there.
