Bit disappointing. This is an average hotel where the pictures over promise and the hotel then under delivers. It is probably in need of a facelift. The rooms are large but tired. The pool area is lacklustre. The food is incredibly expensive but decent quality. I am sure you can get better for the same cost. Also, I would recommend to anyone to book a refundable rate and potentially cancel and boom locally as our experience was the rooms are 50% of the price if booked when in India and that is even when the hotel is full.
Their hospitality surpassed our expectations. The restaurant staff were extremely hospitable and we enjoyed the breakfast they made for us. The chefs came to the table to check personally if we enjoyed their preparation. The cleaning staff were great too. The front desk manager took care of us well by upgrading our rooms and it compensated for the initial trouble we had while checking in. The rooms were comfortable but they should look into changing the bathroom fixtures as they look very old. A remarkable stay
I spent 2 nights here whilst touring India. The hotel has more of an executive feel to it, but that doesn't take anything away from it. The rooms are comfortable and provide you with the essential amenities. There is a lovely pool area for swimming and relaxing. The buffet breakfast was delicious and has a great variety of food. All the staff are very friendly and helpful, even sending a female to my sister's room to help her change into a sari at 04.30 in the morning. I would definitely recommend.
Very well located near the center of the city if you're here for work. Close to the Taj Mahal? Not really. Taj view room? Not exactly a 'Taj view' if you can only spot a small silhouette on the distant horizon. Breakfast was decent. The room was nice, but the room service time needs improvement; it takes too long.
One of the best hotels were stayed in during our trip. Hospitality and service were excellent. We ate dinner at the restaurant and it was very good, just somewhat expensive. The hotel has very nice and large rooms. There are always drivers outside and it is easy to get around to places such as the Taj Mahal. The hotel is very near both train stations and has a good surrounding area. Very nice hotel.
Would not rate this hotel as 5 star. The swimming pool was what sold me on this venue and even that was disappointing. Having read another recent review after booking I would absolutely agree that the pool water had a cloudy/dirty look the whole time. Then came the room which while passable but could do with a refresh to meet the claim of 5 star standards. The rain-head shower didn't work and neither did the safe till we got housekeeping in to look at it. Don't recommend using the in house travel service as they booked us a guide for the Taj who proceeded to tell us they take a significant cut of the money charged and only pay them at the end of the year! Not that we believed they got payed at end of year but I'm sure the hotel are taking their share. To make up for that the guide then took us to a carpet and marble manufacturers who did the typical sales pitch with pressure to buy (not doubt paying commission to the guide). The location of the hotel whilst close to the Taj has very little around it and seems to be quite a run down area. Over all this was our most disappointing stay. One highlight was the housekeeping, security and restaurant staff were very attentive and gave great service. Pity the front desk staff seem to have a level of self importance that didn't marry up to the other staff.
I booked the hotel on 26.10.2023. There is no privacy in the pool. I don't get whether the existing pool is for Decoration or for some relaxation. More than 300 windows of rooms are directed towards the pool area. An introvert like me can never swim in it. There was a constant construction sound and upon reporting that to the service desk, no action was taken although she said that they would halt the activities at once. Even after requesting multiple times, they didn't provide the room with the bathtub. Overall, the experience was the worst and I was really disappointed by the 5-star rating of the hotel.
If 5 star is attached to this hotel - then its a complete exaggeration. The front desk staff somewhat are unapproachable and at best unhelpful. When you take a closer look at the amenities - terrible and not maintained. Let's begin with the room: Rainfall shower head didn't work. Paper thin walls - you can hear your neighbours banging and making so much noise. Safe was not working well. Towels are of a cheap quality - not the thick quality ones you expect at a 5 star hotel. Also - a lot of power cuts in the Hotel. Dinner buffet was great just be warned they charge like a wounded bull for this. Breakfast was good as it can be. In spite of the low rating - I cannot applaud the security/housekeeping staff and the food and beverage staff at this hotel - they were the real superstars here.
