CITY HOSPITAL - Hospital in Mangaluru - Dakshina Kannada, India

Though the hospital has improved its external look, the rooms are as it existed more than 15 years ago. Very shabby storage, covered with dust and belongings of last patient. Nobody has bothered to clean it up for new occupants. Bathroom also bad and looks dirty. Every piece of iron has rust on it.

Today visited this hospital for the first time. We'll maintained and in good location. Had cataract surgery here. Staff is good and cooperative. Try once , when needed.

I had very very worst experience in city hospital Mangalore, they allotted 10x7 room, in that room two patients are kept and their escorts under a single fan, if one patient needs fan air, another patient not needed, they ignored patient comfort zone, given importance to money only.

Froud insurance dept...froud billing Froud rates.. No one has any clue ... watever we ask.....sit there we will call ..unskilled staffs unprofessional staffs (alli kuthkoli karithivi) Cataract treatment (genrally this treatment cost 20k to 30 asper my understanding.. even confirmed with one of my friend who got same treatment done with in past 15 days.. Same treatment for 2 different patient, same doctor, same medication, both patient left eye, same time went in to OT and came out of OT same time.. he was cash patient paid 30k odd.. he already paid and left.. My mom is under insurance waiting from Past one hours I also got call for my insurance company saying 30 k has been approved informed staffs as well.. but no use neev alli kuthkoli is their answer... After 2 hours ur bill is 40 k odd after discount 36k odd they said pay the balance amount 30 k claim 6k from my pocket cash... Asked staffs why is my bill 40 k odd , when other patient had paid 30k odd.. no answer Adu all eddu. Adu TDS cut sir.. all butshit explanation.. as if we don't know wat is TDS I Called doctor and informed him the senirio ..he called back to hospital i dont know wat he spoke ,but he was good Another 2 hours passed no sign of bill ...Neeve alli kothkoli karithivi.. no food waiting in vistors loung..came at 9.30..left at 3..just for one simple procuder.... they don't value ur time.. they think ur dumb ... Finally bill settled for 33k odd.. made me wait roughly 4 hours Froud insurance staffs here.. fight for ur hardened money

Doctors are excellent, some of the nurses are also caring , no parking facility & watchman/security V. Muthu is too arrogant with visitors & patient

This hospital should be closed right away. Request the mangalore police department to take high action on this . This shouldn't be repeat anymore every again . Are u guys firstly a certified doctor. if u dono how to treat patients den please resign and sit at home Don't play wid others life's Bustards!!!!! Will u be okay of your childrens are killed this way ???? Koragajja would take care on this

worst hospital. Initially they told room rent will be 1.4k for one day. Next day at the time of discharge after waiting for no reason, I was billed 4.4k for just room rent.

Visited couple days ago and experience was kinda good expect nurses. I know most of them don't know Kannada but the sad thing is they don't even try to understand what we're saying.Even if you talk with English they simply walk away. There was a particular nurse (the one who wearing green scrub whatever) in general ward she was very kind and beautiful *-* and she's the only one who knew Kannada well. Although doctors are very good and informative.
