Cicily Cottage - Hotel in Munnar - Idukki, India

The manger welcoming and nice to speak with him. spacious room and got balcony to see the munnar city's view. overall good had good time in cicily. the best part is eveything is nearby.. restaurant and shopping center. After long day of sightseeing..sat on balcony at cicily with rainy evening with relaxing rain sound ..happy

The place is very small and as it is a house stay owner has decided not to give very basic services. Cons- 1.There is no lift or ramp and you have to carry all of your luggage. 2.Owner told us that wifi is there but for 2 days we were there there was no wifi. 3. Hot water is only from 6 AM to 10 AM which is very inconvenient in a cold place like munnar because the normal water is ice cold and you can't even wash your face with it. 4. There is no ventilation or fan in the room so it feels little stinky. 5. Cost to service ratio is ok 6.Parking is small and the car ramp is very small for a SUV. Pros- 1.In the city 2. Good owner 3.Clean room We had two rooms and 1 thin mattresses for 5 people. Experience was ok

Room is not clean, Floor not cleaned. Closet getting very Bad smell, No Fan in Room, TV Remotes are not working, Mosquito Disturbance,No mosquito Net in windows, No 24/7 hot water (only 6am - 10am)

As I am a sole traveller this hotel is very budget friendly. I got room for 500 (after asking for discount) for a night. As there is no 24*7 hot water available, he asked me to call whenever I need hot water, impressed!!! There is place for parking, drinking water was provided, blankets were also provided. Overall experience is wonderful. The reason for 4 star - In my room, I was not able to close the window correctly. It need to be repaired. Bathroom is very clean.

Good Location but Budget Rooms .... Don't Expect Much Average

And during 6 to 10 the water given is lukeworm. 4. There is no ventilation or fan in the room so it feels little stinky. 5. Nice stay. Room was neat and clean. Only 10 mnt walk from Munnar main town. Suitable for Families as well as solo travellers, those who are expecting a simple stay.. Do not expect the facilities of a star hotel or resort.

This is a very basic lodge.Poorly managed. The management does not even bother to have concern over maintaining cleanliness of rooms. They won't even ask you if there is any requirement of room cleaning, washroom cleaning etc. This place is just good enough to have a break at night to sleep and leave in the morning. During power cut they provide power back up only at their own convenience. Book this place considering the above facts. Families should better avoid this hotel completely. Dirty room. Not cleaned even once during the total stay.
