Amazing botanical and biological park with indigenous species of plants such as huge butress root trees, indigenous variety of eagle, parrots, Nicobari pigeon, salt water crocodile and monitor lizard etc. No outside food or any baggage is allowed inside the park. Ticket cost is very nominal. Avoid the park during Monsoon.
Various types of wild animals including reptiles and birds are there in this place . You can get a glimpse of crab eating monkeys if being lucky enough. Travel system is exactly like NSCB ( Ross) island . You can either roam around by walk ( we opted for this, there was no time limit) or can hire a golf cart on counting of persons. A good place if you have time in your hand while visiting Chidiya Taphu.
Another place to visit while.in Andaman. This has lush greenery all around and some wild animals like Boar and Sea water crocs. We also were able to see deers and Andaman pigeon. You will have to walk a small trek to complete the tour. Electric cars were available as well. The entire walk takes around 45 minutes and has steeps and slopes.
Nice place, full of natural beauti, must visit. You can see many many years old trees, 1 day is sufficient for Chidiyatapu, Munda Pahar & Sunset.
1) Best way to reach chidiya tapu is via GOGO bus available from bus terminal....it will take 120 (for both to and from)....Electeic bus has chilled AC....i had seen such kind of bus for first time....spacious, Camera inside bus, stop button & SOS button on each seat..... Taxi will take 1500 to 1800 rs or tempo travellers will take 2500 to 3000 rs bus chance to bargain is still there..... 2) Chidiya tapu is known for sun set. 3) Route to chidiya tapu is from dense jungle . 4) if time permits then chidiya tapu is good place to visit otherwise sun set of havelock and neil island is better.
Quiet & beautiful place, green forest and fresh air. This place is really good for those people who want to take a break from noisy city & noisy traffic. Here you can see those few animals which you have ever seen. which is nothing special and unfortunately the gatekeepers who are like illiterate when you ask something about a particular subject, they did not give you a specific information when it's about knowledge. It'll be better for them if they always keep an instructor to guide people who visit them.
Very nice place with calm, cool and attractive natural environment. Many wild animals and birds can be seen in their natural habitat. One can walk through or avail the services of electric vehicles facilities available there at nominal charges. Can enjoy the facilities to relax and enjoy in the Park with fun. Sufficient parking space is available free of cost. Please visit and enjoy the natural beauty of Andaman and Nicobar Islands. Well managed and maintained by department of environment and forests of Andaman and Nicobar administration.
Monday closed. Park timing 9AM to 4PM. If you have a day spare, you can visit here and also visit Munda pahad beach for its beautiful sunset and clean waters.
