You can view Imphal from these two view points , it's fun to climb the staris, well maintained. The locals come here in the evening for walks, most of them running while we could barely walk the steep stairs.
It's the highest point within the Imphal city. There are two peaks where you can climb and enjoy the view. There are wide stairs leading to the top. You can see many people climbing it especially on weekends. It's a good workout climbing both the peaks and your fitness will improve if done regularly.
The view from the top is really beautiful, when I visited I could see rain falling in some parts of Imphal city while there was no rain on the other side of the city. You can also notice school kids with their fitness instructors climbing the two hill top peaks, even families going there to have a good time with each other.
If you go there early in the morning then the sunrise is really beautiful to watch.
There is a parking space below before the climb starts, parking is available for both four wheeler and two wheeler.
It would look more beautiful if they could plant a few flowers along the way.
We can access easily upto the top as we can drive up to the kaiku park by vehicles, from that park to the first top view point it's around 600 metres, once you reach that view point you will relieve from everything by seeing the scenic beauty of Imphal valley and the nearby hills.
Great place to hike. Use the stairs for exercise at the same time you have the option to go off trail for a more solitary and close to nature experience. Being closest to the valley, it is gives one the pleasure of enjoying the view of the imphal town below. What more can you ask for than to have such place to explore and be able to enjoy nature, photography and more.
Beautiful location with great views of the surrounding areas of Imphal city. There are 2 ways reach peak of cheirao hills. One there is trekking route through hill slope and other is a combination of winding road followed by staircases. Do carry some drinking water with you to stay dehydrated along the path.
We reached the viewpoint before sunrise and witnessed the beautiful sunrise. It was surreal to experience something so peaceful and beautiful at the same time.
Totally recommend everyone to visit the place.

It gives bird eye view of Imphal and a chance to explore the beauty of its landscape. It is indeed breathtaking but the climb is not an easy one. To get good things, it need efforts: this hold true here. A good place for fitness aware person as the place offer one of the best place to be in good shape and physique. Better to bring water because you will need it.
Cheirao Ching is one of Manipur's most popular hill. It is truly beautiful and I can't remember the number of times I've been there. Reached the summit recently, everything about it is truly breathtaking, be it the view or the experience of hiking itself. But there is one thing that I'd like to request to the people of Manipur, please please don't throw your water bottles or other garbage there, take it back home , let's not ruin the nature . Another personal opinion, I like how it was before, narrow natural road not the new widened path, ruins the thrill of hiking for me.
