Worst place to live. I stayed in rent here. 1) Very old construction, 35 years to 40 years old. So you will find something is broken in one day or other. Once started staying, owners will force you to pay for construction damages. Electrical appliances like Fans are very old. I feared it will break down on my head while I sleep. Finally when I left, my owner deducted huge amount from the advance deposit, saying that I have damaged many things in his flat. 2) Frequent power cut 3) The Location is near a water drain, so foul smells and hell of mosquitoes. 4) Flats are north facing. Huge hot during summer and in Kolkata almost 7-8 months are hot. Owner kept an AC, but it was very old. I had to hire technician for maintenance in ever 2-3 months. AC was not free. I paid rent for it. 5) Owners are very arrogant. Before you start staying, they are the most polite persons in the Earth. After you paid rental advance, they will show the true colour. 6) Owner will never tell you all the Association Rules. The association madam is having such a bad behaviour. Once you start staying, you will find rules are not favourable to tenants. 7) Even if you don't participate in Durga Puja, which is held in October, you have to pay lump sum amount for Puja contribution. I didn't stay in Kolkata during Durga Puja, but I had to pay. 8) Maintenance includes free Carpenter & Electrician. It's a joke. You will end up paying huge amount. 9) You will never be able to visit the rooftop. The iron staircase is very very narrow. I find no point staying in rent here as Kolkata is a cheaper city and you can find good rent in this price. Here price is really huge.
A nice place for morning walkers as well as the young lovers in day time. Full of water bodies and varieties of plants and trees. Spread in a very big area. Most popular in morning walkers in salt lake area.
