Beautiful display of North Eastern culture. A highly fascinating depiction of the history, celebrations, jobs, village life, and traditional clothing. The location is manageable for a quick visit at any time because it is not overly large. There is typically no rush here. There is a strong collection of tribal and local culture here. There is a separate area for each of the following: apparel, art, and musical instruments. Increasing the collection would aid in promoting this institution.
A nice small museum on Meghalay culture and lifestyle.
There is a neat and good collection of tribal and local culture along with different types of instruments here. There is a separate area for art and oil paintingsins.
Centrally located in Shillong
Beautiful exhibit of the culture of the North East!
A really captivating portrayal of the history, festivals, occupations, village life and traditional wear.
The place is not too big and one can easily visit it for a short while anytime. There usually isn't a rush here.
Williamson sangma museum is very good museum. Have painting sections, musical instruments section, Meghalaya peoples daily life style statues . Entry fee is Rs5. Clean well set up. Worthy visit to learn about Meghalaya culture life style and history
Good information about the cultures and traditions of the tribes of Meghalaya. Good display of ancient artefacts. Only negative was lack of staff.

A poorly maintained museum with almost no attractive exhibits. Poorly lit also. No proper staffing. Skip the place to avoid paying unnecessary entry fees and wasting time. Visit Don Bosco museum instead and spend a couple of hours there. You'll love it.
A small museum that portrays the culture of the state of Meghalaya. It has several artifacts of Khasi, Jaintia and Garo culture. There are several life like statues that depict in detail the day to day activities of the people of the state. Implements and tools of the different tribes are displayed here adequately. A bit of maintenance work would definitely work wonders for this museum.
Very informative and keeping alive the heritage of Meghalaya state, all tribes of state are depicted nicely in miniature form but exactly look alike
