Cafe By the Lane - Coffee shop in Barrackpore - 24 Paraganas North, India

The place is too cozy and has a perfect cafe vibe. The interior along with the lighting and soft music is like a cherry on the cake. The photo frame and the wall art is really impressive. The decor colour and interior perfectly replicate a french restaurant ambiance. The food is good not that something out of thee box but decent and you will be 100% satisfied with the service and the food. We ordered yang Sweet Corn Garlic bread and its worth the money and is loaded with corn. You will just love it !! The staff are cooperative and humble which is notable.

The cafe is located in a great spot and has awesome ambiance. The staff is helpful. The food is good but doesn't justify the price. This place also doesn't have a lot of seating space so having more than 4 at any table would be problematic for you. Also, this place is often busy so consider that before coming in here. Overall a good experience.

Very nice and unique cafe in the area. You can spend a good time with your dear ones here. The food variety is good, though the price is on the higher side but quality and cleanliness is very good. I had a very good quality time with my family. Except for the higher price of the food items, there are no such negative points here. Finally, 'The tea was very good'..

It is a beautiful cafe near to Barrackpore Chiriamore. The Google location is absolutely correct and this cafe is also on the main road. The food quality and quantity is really nice. The most attractive thing about this cafe is its ambience and yet an affordable price of food. They have a variety of food items. Just a note the non veg section also includes Pork. So if anyone wants to try some pork they can definitely visit this place. Only one con that I felt is the space and the tables for 2 they have. I felt it is a little small. However one can't get everything in a single wish. Overall it is a very nice place and the food is affordable and good.

The place is good. Ambience is great. Staff is energetic. Overall look of the cafe is nice. A place to check out in Barrackpore. Interior decor is praiseworthy and instagrammable too. With food I had mixed feelings. I ordered two dishes, one I liked the other didn't. Food portion is large. One plate can easily feed two.So not a bad experience overall. Quality and taste of food can be improved. Presentation of food is good.

Pros: 1. Nice Decor 2. Taste wise ok ok food. But expected a better taste 3. Portion size is satisfactory as per the pricing 4. At Barrackpore you can't find a better cafe with such decor and ambience Cons: 1. Very slow Service 2. AC doesn't cool you if you sit on right row. Also AC leaks water ( Should be solved immediately) 3. No hand wash basin available, you need to visit their stinky toilet for a handwash. This is pathetic 4. Food Varieties are not good.

I am a cafe person and when I tell you this, it means that I visit a cafe everyday. I stay in South Calcutta but I visited this Cafe By the Lane, Barrackpore. My experience: 1. First, I had ordered a pot of first flush Darjeeling tea which serves two cups. The quality was good and also it served more than two cups. Being a tea lover, I loved it. 2. Then I ordered smokey cheesy chicken wings and it was too good. It was really delicious and better than most of the places that I have had before. 3. By now, I was full but I couldn't resist myself and my eyes were glued to the food served on my adjacent table. Quickly, I asked Shayana who is also the owner of the place that what is that food. She was too sweet and kind to answer me and I quickly ordered Chicken Piccata. Oh my god, it was soo good but sadly by then I was almost full and I just was not able to finish it considering its portion that they serve. My Suggestion: 1.I would request you all to come here and have all the delicious food they serve. 2. Remember, it's a cafe and not a restaurant. But they serve amazing food and in good portion. Ask the manager, the waiter and the owner about " Today's special menu". I am sure, you won't be disappointed. 3. After speaking to the owner, I understood that they are recruiting more staffs to keep up with the pace and serve you with your desired food without any delay. It's a busy place and for any new cafe or restaurant, it takes time to understand the response they receive and act accordingly. I am sure the owners have understood and are really looking forward to give you the best possible experience. 4. The place is beautifully decorated. You get the amazing English- European feel once you enter the cafe. Nice country music playing in the background gives you a very English cafe vibe altogether. Ordered two shakes and the base taste was the same but tasted nice. Staff was polite and had a lot of patience for long sitting customers. Demand is very high as by the time we left a lot of people were outside waiting for a table... ambience is A+. Must visit once spot Only downside can be that the food is a bit overpriced... but that's about it...
