About the Place - Cafe 17 is one of the luxury cafes in Chandigarh, situated at the lobby level with the beautiful colorful furniture with a soothing view of the Infinity Pool, Cafe 17 is a wonderful place to relax and enjoy a meal, at any time of the day. The restaurant serves an array of multi-cuisine specialities, including Mediterranean delights with Asian overtones and a selection of local favourites from colourful cities such as Delhi, Mumbai and Amritsar. The staff is so friendly and cooperative that you feel like home. "With the current situation prevailing worldwide i.e. Covid 19, the restaurant has taken all possible precautions and safety measures assuring its customers a safe and healthy environment. As soon as you enter Taj, there will be a body temperature check at the entrance and with proper sanitization including your bags. Arogya Setu App (An Indian open-source CoVID-19 "Contact tracing, Syndromic mapping and Self-assessment" digital service, primarily a mobile app, developed by the National Informatics Centre under the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology) is mandatory application that need to be installed in your phone. After checking at the entrance one of the staff members will assist you till the Cafe. At the cafe, Sagrika from the team introduced me to the precautions and safety measures taken at the Cafe, Taj. The best thing I personally liked was the Self Declaration Form, clarifying your health and other important details. It is very important to mention here that all the Kitchens are open i.e. Dera, Black Lotus and Cafe 17, but the food is served under one roof of Cafe 17 keeping in view the current scenario as a precautionary measure with a protocol of two persons allowed on one Table.
About the food:- Coming to the food they have recently launched two new welcome drinks i.e. Guava Mary and Deja Vu. Both the drinks are so refreshing. Deja Vu is now my personal favorite after Kaali for a welcome drink. Moving on to Appetizers they served Wok Tossed Water Chestnuts with burnt Garlic. The chestnuts were very crispy and perfectly cooked. I really liked it. Coming on to the Main Course they served Stir fried tofu with Water Chestnuts with Veg Fried Rice. Caramelised Mushroom Risotto was also served. Ending it on a sweet note, Kesari Rasmalai and Tiramisu were served. I really loved and appreciated the efforts of the Chef for making Eggless Tiramisu especially for me. They have upgraded their plates as well.
Overall it was really a great experience of dine in keeping in view the current scenario and situation. Kudos to the whole team. Thank You Taj for always giving a wonderful and memorable experience to cherish.
Cafe has courteous staff which takes care of everything.Great value for money. This place is very hygiene and clean. Presentation of the dishes was just great. But they have limited Indian cuisine available and some items were not available when u order. Only Limited items were available.
It was my first visit at CAFE-17, TAJ Chandigarh and the whole experience was really memorable. Best food and service in the city 24*7 amazing restaurant with large and tasty menu. I appreciate the service provided by Staff (Specially Mr. Varinder Ji). 10/10 to Taj Hotel Chandigarh.
Amazing experience, living upto Taj level. Great food. Service was top notch. Our major meal was included as part of our stay. It was a set menu meal, but they opened whole menu and let us order anything we want to order. Best part was kids were really happy with there food. Ambience especially seating arrangement could have been better.

Wanna have some cheesy garlic bread then heads towards this amazing outlet in sector 36 they have delicious food available and shakes too. Loved their garlic bread filled with lots of cheese and corns. And their burger pizza sandwiches and pizzas too
