It is one of the best house boats in Kashmir. The owner and the caretaker are wonderful people. Authentic Kashmiri food is very good at this place. It has a garden where you can sit and relax under the huge Chinar trees and have your cup of tea. It is a wonderful place to stay.
An exciting place for a classic houseboat stay. Built in 1940s, it has so much history and character that anyone going there is spell bound by it's beauty and legacy. Dal lake on one side of the houseboat, most amazing views of the gardens on the other side makes it a unique experience. Home style cooking and bon fire on request made us feel at home and very comfortable. Definitely must visit if in Srinagar and want some peace away from the hustle of the city.
I have been to this amazing place and highly recommend it for those who want to enjoy the calmness of Dal lake and have relaxing time. Evening view is awesome with mountain's and sky's mirror reflection on Lake. You are at one side of Dal lake away from the tourist shikara's crowd and city traffic. Best part of this houseboat is that it is attached to a Mughal garden and accessible by car. You are not dependent on shikara ride. Ramzan kaka manages the show there right from smal needs to lavish food. Owners of the boathouse are very humble, down to earth and a great host and checked on our convenience multiple times. We wanted to enjoy morning shikara ride and it was arranged within no time. Overall a great experience. Thanks to Butt family for a memorable stay
One of the most beautiful scenery to view and you can feel the nature very closely, sounds of birds, cold breeze from the mountains and the silence of water. At last not the least the sunset moment is very heart warming.
It is the most personal and beautiful experience one can have in Srinagar... Butt uncle, Ramzaan chacha... And just about everyone go out of their ways to make you feel at home and here you get to experience personalized Kashmiri hospitality at its best!
Amazing Place and Amazing People.feel like living in Paradise.We went there with Family all the way from Brampton Canada in the month of August 2019 and Enjoyed a lot their food and a ride in Shikara in the early Morning arranged by them at 5:00 AM . Highly recommended.
