Budharaja temple is the temple where lord Shiva is being worshipped. The temple is situated at the hill top which is surrounded by the main sambalpur town. The temple environment is so calm and serene. You'll love go sit here and gain some peace of mind. There are roads leading to the top of the hill or you can go by stairs. The temple is also surrounded by lots of trees, its like an oasis in the middle of a desert. Currently the construction of the temple is going on so the lord Shiva is placed in another room.

When I saw this hill from so far I forgot myself to see its beauty,This is one of the important historical site of sambalpur because hear the Lord shiva known as pahadeswar, with such sani, trinath,god temple also hear we can see and also hear we can see the foot print of indian war of independence - ull gulan movement which is conduct by great leader bir surendra sai and hearbon this hill top he fight gorila war with British Army and always defeat them hear he use under ground tunnel which mouth still we can see at hill top., hear on the altimate top of budharaja hill a newly made watch tower/hill view point built on which we stand can see the masmorizing beauty of whole sambal town, from hear river mahanadi, far mountain some of hirakud dam also can visible from hear it is so beautiful which can't explain in word and also environment is so cool, quite with devine peace with cool wind flow slowly which can take us to that devine, felling. So dear who are want to come hear come and enjoy natures beauty. This town foot hill of this budharaja hill also known as its name but hear local governments should have to take more care about this place more tourist can come hear and it will also become one of the beautiful tourist destination.

Nice place to visit and experience nature. I never thought of such a peaceful place in the middle of a hastle bastle city. Entering the temple you will get only peace. From here you will not get a view of the whole city for that you have to go to some that minar near it.

Very nice temple situated atop the hill. The view of Sambalpur from it is mesmerizing. Must pay a visit if you want to get some peace away from Chaos of the city. Very calm environment. One should visit during morning or evening hours. The road which goes to the temple is full of turns, having trees and bamboo plantations which make it even more beautiful. Sitting at the steps during evening time and getting a bird's eye view of the city is worth mentioning.

Drive to the top for an amazing view !! The drive to the top amidst a small forest is a great feeling in the heart of the city . The government should do more to maintain the quality of road and promote this an a tourist spot as the potential in enormous. The view from the top is mesmerizing and a visit is recommended during early morning or during cold days. The Shiva temple is kept clean and the darshan is a breeze . A request to all, clean your own garbage or rather take it with you and drop off at your place. Keep the place clean !!
