This is one of the favorite station in Mumbai. I cut 1 star because platform 1 is really so long it will give stress if you walking from platform 1 to platform 3 without mobile.
And one thing stuff of the platform is really so friendly you don't will lost in the station because station I think contain 8 platforms.
Borivali is a major station on the Western Suburbs. All local trains traveling towards churchgate and back till Dahanu Road stop here. Even all outstation trains have a stoppage here. This station being a major stoppage, almost never sleeps.
The station has developed a lot over the decade with expansion in number of platforms and having lifts for passengers with luggage.
Each platform has many snacks stall for the passengers waiting for train. Here you can have a quick bite, a glass of cutting chai or even lunch of Vada pav and other fast food delicacies.

The station has 10 platforms and 9 tracks. It is the biggest railway station in the Western railway and has access to all stations from Churchgate to Virar.

One can only seem to wonder how can a government run and managed unit be so anti public...there is no fixed car parking facility near by for enough cars or bikes. Auto rickshaws and cabs only serve people looking to travel long distances.
Although the area occupied by the station is massive the services are not planned at all inconveniencing the users at every step
Great station for both local and intercity travel
Busiest junction on Western railway line. Has grown manifold in last decade, in terms of development and population. There are around 8 platforms serving local and outstation trains 24 hrs. New additions are the escalators on almost all platforms, even then crowds are scary during peak rush hour.
The authorities should keep all outstation trains at night time to decentralise or take the load off the local trains operations.
One star less for the same.
It's a beautiful and very enormous sculpture of British time. Earlier known as VT station now it's named as CST. Very elegant vibe at the night time. Very neat and clean place, even when there is lot of traffic and people.
Local and state level train
It's a very nice and clean station, it's so crowded in the week days from morning to evening usually in the office time & in festivals too in Local Train And it's a main station for Western Railway.
it's also a Terminal.
Vile Parle station is one of the quiet railway stations in Mumbai. It is surrounded by residential buildings. Does not get crowded, even at peak times. Located on the western line.
