I recently visited Bhumanand Hospital in Haridwar to see my patient, and I would like to share my honest review of the experience.
Facilities and Cleanliness: Bhumanand Hospital has decent facilities, but it could use some improvements. The waiting area was quite crowded, and there wasn't enough seating available. The hospital's cleanliness was satisfactory, but I did notice a few areas that could have been cleaner.
Staff and Service: The hospital staff was a mix of experiences. While some were friendly and helpful, others seemed disinterested and less attentive. I had to wait at the reception for some time before someone assisted me, and the overall process felt disorganized.
Medical Care: The quality of medical care provided to my patient was adequate. The doctors seemed competent and knowledgeable, and they explained the treatment plan well. However, there were times when it was challenging to get a hold of the attending physician or receive updates on the patient's condition in a timely manner.
Infrastructure and Equipment: The hospital's infrastructure appeared outdated and in need of renovation. The patient rooms were quite small, and the lack of proper ventilation made the environment feel stuffy. Some of the medical equipment also seemed a bit outdated, which raised concerns about the hospital's commitment to investing in the latest technology.
Waiting Time: The waiting time to see the doctor was quite long, even though I had an appointment. It took over an hour before I could meet with the attending physician. This delay made the overall experience quite frustrating, especially since my patient was unwell and needed immediate attention.
Billing and Administrative Process: The billing process was straightforward, and the administrative staff were polite in handling queries related to the charges. However, the lack of clarity regarding certain fees and the need for repeated follow-ups for billing-related issues were areas that could be improved.
Ambience: The hospital's ambience was average. The interiors could use some refurbishment to create a more comforting and soothing environment for patients and their families.
Emergency Services: I did not personally experience the hospital's emergency services during my visit, so I cannot comment on that aspect.
In conclusion, Bhumanand Hospital in Haridwar had its strengths and weaknesses. While the medical care provided was satisfactory, the overall experience was hindered by long waiting times, a somewhat disorganized system, and the need for facility upgrades. The hospital staff's friendliness varied, but there is certainly room for improvement in terms of consistency. For future visits, I hope to see improvements in the waiting times, infrastructure, and staff attentiveness to ensure a better overall patient and visitor experience.
