Bhootnath Temple Rishikesh - Featured Reviews (948)
Must visit this place. The temple is located at a little height of the mountain. We need to walk along the temple road to the base of the temple or you can take your vehicle inside. From there you need to take the staircase to the temple entrance which will be around 30-40 steps. These stairs will take you to the base of the temple. At the base of the temple you will see the idols of lord Shiva. After that you can still take the staircase which takes you to the top floor.. At the top you will definitely get breathtaking views, and also it has a few more idols of lord Shiva at the top.
I had time and few people suggested to go there so I went. Rough ground walking so wear sports shoes or good chappals. After some walking, there are two ways to go up, one by stairs and other slope. I used slope. There are 11 floors, and all are kind of the same with bells and trishool. Very small area to move around. You see the whole Rishikesh from top. 3 stops for donations. The first one at the entrance was then the first and last floor.

11 storey temple to climb. Blissful place. Old temple for one must to visit. Calm and peaceful place.
A very silent and peaceful place. Before reach to temple there is an 800- 1000 metre climbing there. After reaching on top you will feel so much enjoyed and a panoramic view of rishikesh city . Super awesome experience and this is the best place to capture the rishikesh view in one shot
Located on the backend part of jhanki bridge, it's best Temple for Shiv Darshan, and you can see complete rishikesh from the top of the temple, at Evey floor you can worship God and godess, as per my suggestion first go to Jhanki bridge then Beatles ashram then go to bhootnath temple, so that after darshan you can connect back to Jhanki bridge, it's a must visit place.
Not much aware about the religious aspect, but a must visit if you're visiting Rishikesh can walk on a little elevation. Please keep the place clean and pick some garbage if possible. (Carry an empty bag and fill it on the way back)
Bhoothnath Temple is a remarkable testament to history, standing as one of the oldest and most revered temples in existence. Having had the privilege of visiting this sacred place on multiple occasions, I have been consistently captivated by the profound emotions and positive influence it instills within me. The temple's magnificent presence and rich heritage make it a cherished destination for pilgrims and seekers of spiritual solace. As I ascend the temple's various floors, each step brings me closer to a profound connection with the divine. The main temple, situated on the top floor, holds a special significance. It may be small in size, but its spiritual grandeur surpasses any physical limitations. As I enter this sacred space, a sense of tranquility envelops me, transporting me to a realm where worries dissolve, and peace prevails. The crowning glory of the Bhoothnath Temple reveals itself from the top floor, where a breathtaking panoramic view of Rishikesh unfolds before my eyes. The ethereal beauty of the surrounding landscape, coupled with the spiritual energy emanating from the temple, creates an atmosphere of awe and reverence. It is an experience that words alone fail to capture--a moment of profound connection with the divine and a deeper understanding of the universe's vastness. The temple's multi-floored structure, with its intricately designed architecture, adds to the allure of Bhoothnath Temple. Each floor presents a unique facet of spiritual devotion, inviting visitors to explore the depths of their faith. From ornate artwork to intricate carvings, every detail reflects the devotion and craftsmanship of the artisans who have contributed to the temple's timeless allure. Beyond the physical beauty and historical significance, it is the intangible essence of Bhoothnath Temple that truly leaves an indelible mark on one's soul. The temple serves as a sanctuary where the mind finds solace, the heart finds solace, and the spirit finds renewal. It is a place where one can disconnect from the chaos of everyday life and reconnect with their inner self. Har Har Mahadev
