Begur Lake - Lake in Bengaluru - Bengaluru Urban, India

Really a scenic place to visit, alone ,with friends, family etc etc. The place offers a wide view of the water body, the sky and all the high rise buildings around it. The best time to visit would be early mornings and after 5PM. As of aug 2023, there is a rough mud road around the planned walkway around the lake. I suggest you guys to be aware if you're taking your small kids to the place as currently there are no netting or safety measures in place. The same goes for riding bikes along the mud road be careful. Must visit place.

Nice place to spend some time at afternoon. Lake is nice, beside lake there is a beautiful temple. I recommend to spend some time here at afternoon. The temple complex has parking also.

This is supposed to be a Heritages Lake which has history of 1000+ years ... but lake is not maintained in its natural way but been converted to a modern park sort ... But don't miss to visit the temple if ur visiting

One of the best lakes in Bangalore, Begur road is very nice and has a clear view and the nearby temple is good place to visit.

Begur Kere has been recently cleaned up and a walkway has been added around the lake, however I hear that work has been stopped due to some issue. Lake is pretty big with a big area apportioned for natural filteration. Currently water seems to be pretty good and you can see lots of birds especially in the wet land area. Birds spotted : Purple Heron, Grey Heron, Egrets, Spot Billed Duck, Eurasian Coot, Stilts, Red wattled lapwing, cormorants, Bee Eater, etc .. Would need trees and plants around the lake and remaining development work taken to closure ..

Visited this place by accident during evening bike ride(exploration). And I was literally stunned by the beauty. Then visited again with friends. This place isn't that famous. But trust me you must not miss to visit this place if you're staying in Electronic City, Bangalore. Checkout few photos I clicked when I visited this place on June-14-2021.
