Beach Camp By Ripply Adventures - Campground in Kotar, Kota - Tehri Garhwal, India

The first and foremost thing you should remember while travelling in Rishikesh is that No place looks like the pictures shown on internet. Same goes for this camp too We booked this camp for one night including rafting wich charged us Rs 1800 per person. 500 was the commission. Rs 2100 for the campsite and Rs 1000 for rafting. The campsite is located next to the snowleopard camp board on the banks of the river Ganga. It was a common area for the meals, one tent with three beds were given to us. There was no electricity but charging point for phone was there. There are four toilets and one washroom, to be shared by everyone on the campsite. I was bitten by a scorpion lile creature in my tent, there were cockroaches and red ants too. But thats how camps are right? The rafting however was awesome. Our coach's name was vijendra and he was a cool guy. He made us do a lot of tricks on the raft. He made our videos too, through his Gopro which costed us additional 300 rupees per person. We ate lunch, evening snacks, dinner and breakfast at the campsite. The food was great.

Awesome setting, just near the nice n clean picturesque Ganga. You can play beach volleyball here. Can bathe in Ganga, have sunbath on it's beach. Tents can accommodate 3 at a time & there is dust everywhere but after a long active day you don't care about it. It can get a little hot in the afternoon. NO Electricity at the camp site, so travel with huge Power Bank OR else you'll have to travel 500m to the nearest charging point. I'd suggest to travel on weekdays if you want privacy. If you want to socialize weekend is good for you. When I visited Shivpuri, Rishikesh roads were still under-construction so there was suspended dust everywhere hope by the time mid of this year things will get better.

A good place near the riverside, you can always come here to have a peaceful time. The camp owner is also a friendly person.
