From the exterior what appears to be a collection of simple drfit wood with relatable shapes, on a closer examination turns out to be a treasure trove of natures work over several years. Burried under the beaches of the islands of the Andaman Sea for hundreds of years, these pieces of wood went through the chisteling and polishing by natures forces. Small tsunamis churned them from the deep lying "nature's workshops" to these beaches. Ms. Raji Punnose's narration of her artistic perception of each exhibit which she painstakingly picked from these beaches during her work life in Andamans brings life to each exhibit. Her unique skill of finding meaning in these woods, her passion for educating visitors on these amazing artwork and her heartfelt gratitude to God for revealing these artifacts to her is soul touching. A great place for artists, nature lovers, geologists and travellers who cherish genuine stories.

I didn't know what to expect when I entered this one of a kind museum but left with a whole new perspective on art and nature. Mrs. Raji has a vivid imagination and it was wonderful to be a part of it. If you are a lover of art, nature, story telling, this place is a must visit. Well maintained, convenient to reach, museum tour takes about 1hour.

Had a wonderful experience at this museum. It's a lifetime effort by Rosie and her husband. Her vision, dedication, hardwork and faith is remarkable. She is a great artist and deserves many more accolades There's no entry fee. Voluntary contributions are gratefully accepted

The best museum we have visited so far. And no one can explain better than Mrs. Raji. Who has collected all the artifacts her self. Nature carved wood, beautiful sculptures.

This museum is a marvel of nature and the imagination and dedication of the owner Mrs Raji. We throughly enjoyed her passion and explanation about every piece. This is truly one of a kind museum in India.

Owned and managed by this couple Mrs.Raji and her husband Mr.Punnoose, this museum is one of it's kind and a must not miss one!! Mrs.Raji has collected all the 150 odd pieces over a 31 year period during their stay in the Andamans. As she passionately explains...these are wood pieces, big and small thrown up by the ocean during mini- tsunamis, in which she used to see figures ( God's gift, she calls this ability), drag them home, slowly saw out the extra unwanted part of the fossilized wood, clean up all the moss etc for the figure to emerge!! Lovingly preserved and displayed by her, she's won many awards for this unique collection.

A family type house filled with marvelous wooden sculptures carved and made perfect out of fossilized tree roots mostly found and brought from Andaman island. The hard work and patience rendered by the sole curator and owner, a woman of highest prestige, are extremely appreciated.

Houseboat rental service

We absolutely loved our experience. We booked a 1 bedroom houseboat with A/C in the bedrooms. It was spacious and clean and the bedroom has an en-suite bathroom with an English toilet (no toilet paper only a water jet so take that if you need it!).

We had this mid-sized boat to ourselves (a group of 4). It was nice mostly sunny day so we enjoyed the view from top. The crew were very friendly and navigated the boat at a nice leisurely pace. My wife even took a short nap in one of the bedrooms.
