Breath taking architectural marvel in India. Loved the travel and the view it offered. The bridge was so huge and amazing - really a technological wonder - structural marvel .. Excellent place for bike riders. One must visit this place at night time - looks wore with the fabulous lights. Also it will be very great in monsoon season . It literally feels that we are travelling inside an ocean

The Bandra-Worli Sea Link Mumbai Maharashtra: India's first eight-lane, cable-stayed freeway over the open sea with amazing panorama view. its weight is equal to the weight of 56,000 African Elephants put together, after all, 90,000 tons of cement was used to build this beauty. Its reduce commutation time between Worli and the Suburbs of Bandra from 60-90 minutes to under 10 minutes. It's a World class structure in India. Must visit place in Mumbai.

The View point is a park along the coast, where a river merges into the sea. It is a drainage river, so there was bad odour through out. Park is not maintained well enough. Also, when I was there, there was rain and not many places to hide under.

The Bandra-Worli Sea Link (officially known as Rajiv Gandhi Sea Link[1]) is a 5.6 km long, 8-lane wide bridge that links Bandra in the Western Suburbs of Mumbai with Worli in South Mumbai. It is a cable-stayed bridge with pre-stressed concrete-steel viaducts on either side. It is a part of the proposed Western Freeway that will link the Western Suburbs to Nariman Point in Mumbai's main business district. The 1M bridge was commissioned by the Maharashtra State Road Development Corporation (MSRDC), and built by the Hindustan Construction Company. The first four of the eight lanes of the bridge were opened to the public on 30 June 2009.[9] All eight lanes were opened on 24 March 2010. The sea-link reduces travel time between Bandra and Worli during peak hours from 20 to 30 minutes to 10 minutes.[10] As of October 2009, BWSL had an average daily traffic of around 37,500 vehicles.[11]

Incredible India Jai Hind Jai Bharat Bandra Worli Sea Link is a famous eight lane cable stayed bridge adorning the arc of Mumbai's coastline. It is one of the first projects that is an achievement of the Maharashtra Government which initiated the West Island Freeway System. The bridge is hailed to be among the few pieces of architectural design that is built on cables with pre-stressed concrete-steel viaducts that hold it in place. The bridge can cater around 37,500 vehicles per day and has drastically reduced the time of travelling between Bandra and Worli by a big margin. It is said to be one of the most breathtaking pieces of architecture that is constructed by the authorities in Mumbai. The beautiful architectural innovation complements the landscape of blue waters by the Mahim Bay in the city of Mumbai. It has become a tourist attraction because of the wonderful views it offers. Bandra Worli Sea Link is hailed as a perfect combination of natural beauty and a man-made marvel. While driving through the bridge, it's just a delight to zip past the stunning scenery and feel the mesmerising sea breeze through the air.
