I recently had the pleasure of dining at Baibhabhi, a hidden gem located on the way to Doul Gobinda Mandir, right in front of IIT Guwahati. Specializing in traditional Assamese and Bengali cuisine, Baibhabhi left a lasting impression on me with its delectable dishes and authentic flavors. Upon entering the restaurant, I was immediately greeted by a warm and inviting ambiance. The staff was friendly, attentive, and provided excellent service throughout the entire dining experience. One of the highlights of my visit was indulging in the traditional Assamese thali. The thali was a true delight, featuring a variety of flavors and textures that beautifully represented the essence of Assamese cuisine. Each item on the platter was carefully prepared and bursting with authentic taste. From the fragrant rice to the assortment of flavorful curries, the Assamese thali at Baibhabhi truly showcased the richness and diversity of Assamese culinary traditions. However, the star of the show for me was the Bengali-style Kasha Chicken. The dish was a culinary masterpiece, with tender chicken cooked to perfection in a rich, aromatic gravy.
