The biggest masjid in the civil lines area. It is 3 storey building. Actual name is Masjid-e-Anwar, in memory of Anwar sb who donated the land for the Masjid. Originally he was from Jaipur, but all the adjoining lands belonged to him. The foundation stone of the Masjid was laid by Hazrat Maulana Saeed Ahmad Khan sb, a renowned Islamic scholar and a very pious person. The current structure of the Masjid dates back to the 90's, with the construction of the rear hall. Later the main hall and 1st floor were constructed. Earlier the Masjid, in the 70's, used to have a tin/asbestos sheet roof, and mud brick walls. The original Masjid area can even be seen today in the rear courtyard, surrounded by a small brick encompassing.
Mashallah The Badi Masjid is very beautiful. Loved how they managed the space and made provisions for Jama'at to stay.

It is a Big masjid/ mosque for Muslim prayers. Nice place in nice location. This area is Peaceful. This mosque is well maintained. Only thing which I disliked about this place, there is no separate section for women. People here do not encourage women going to mosque.
This peaceful masjid is in sir syed nagar in front of Jamia urdu . It is approximately 500 m from the main medical road . As the name suggest it is very large and is almost full on fridays .
