Aura Hotel - Hotel in Puducherry - Pondicherry, India

I had an amazing experience at this hotel. The hospitality was top-notch, and the service was excellent. From the moment I arrived, I felt well taken care of. The staff went above and beyond to make my stay memorable. I was initially a little confused as I had seen some bad reviews, but I openly communicated my concerns with them. They assured me that the management had changed, and any past issues were resolved. I'm glad I trusted their word because my stay was flawless. I can't wait to visit again! Also it is very near to the white town and rock/promenade beach.

We were here between 30th June to 2nd July 2023. We had a very comfortable stay here. The room and bathroom are well maintained. The staff is very friendly and responsive. The in-house hotel is not maintained by aura, it's by some other management. We did not eat lunch and dinner there. We only had breakfast and it was good. The hotel is very close to the beach and other places. Most of pondi is walkable. So this hotel is very close to many tourist spots. One day we had a lot of gravy smell in the room despite the fact that our ac was On and windows were closed. When we asked the hotel staff they checked and found that the kitchen window was open and closed. So overall they were very understanding and resolved the problem we faced. We were vegans and I think the in-house hotel did not have many vegetarian options also...so we preferred eating out at places where we had some vegan options . Install "Happy cow" app for finding such places for vegetarian hotels offering vegan food or places offering exclusively vegan foods The security person who managed the parking also was very understanding and supportive in many ways by going out of his ways to help us during parking by adjusting the placement of the bikes around Thank you aura management for making our stay very memorable.

The rooms are clean and well-maintained. The staff is very sweet and accomodating. I wouldn't recommend going to Pondy during Diwali cuz most of the shops are closed. But you can have a relaxing experience overall.

It was for a long weekend that we visited pondicherry and chose to stay here. The service, management was very kind and helpful. The rooms were clean. We were allowed to keep our luggages in the lobby before check-in and after check-out . However, breakfast which was included as complimentary could be improved. Mr Praveen was very humble and kind and guided us to plan our trip and places to go around. Overall, it was a good experience.

Not sure how this hotel has got so high rating which also made us fall into the trap. Simply put very highly priced with the facilities provided. Buffet is something which does not have any options for meal hardly 3-4 breakfast items are there. Only location is somehow better otherwise there is nothing in this hotel, bad air conditioning, bad food, bad service, bad rooms. Even the linens were spoiled and hotel was least bothered only when I told them that I will post bad review is when they changed the linens. Not recommended at all.

Pro Bang on location . Few mins walk from the beach Centre of the town Very neat rooms Nothing much to complaint. Friendly staffs. Very reasonable

Pros- Good location with ease of access to most places. Clean linen Friendly staff Food always fresh and tasty though variety of choice for breakfast was very little and it was the same dishes repeated on all 3 days of our stay. Cons- Each time you have a meal , you have at square off the bill immediately and the bill cannot be closed while checking out. This is highly inconvenient. For a Room charge of 10500 /day, i was expecting a larger room. The rooms are just functional and leaves very little scope for space to ,move around. There were no wardrobes to keep our clothes. Just 3 hangers on the wall. So unpacking and arranging our personal effects was a problem. No electric Iron or hair drier in the room Overall good . The manager Mr Murugan, was always helpful and was kind enough to offer a complimentary dinner on the last day of our stay
