Nice fort, view from the ladder is awsm, nothing much to see on top, good for beginner level trekkers (just 2 hard patches in between). First half of the trek route is just a hike through dense jungle, for most of the risky patches there is a railing provided for support & safety. Rescue team is also available at base village.
one of the easy grade trek on Maharashtra Gujrat highway just 10min away from main road fort asherigad offer beautiful views of highway best wind flow from costal side best season to visit is monsoon be careful of over crowed
The fort is located near Mumbai - Ahmedabad highway, the base village is Khodkona. It is one of the important fort of Palghar district. Asherigad trek is considered as easy trek, the route is safe and is in dense forest. There are few ruins of the fort to see. rock cut tank, engraved rock of Portuguese post of arms, Vaghya Dev temple. It takes minimum 1-2 hour to reach the top depends on person to person. Railings are installed on the tough patch, be safe while climbing.
Views from the top are stunning, in monsoon the clouds pass near to the top though all seasons are good to visit Asherigad
Please carry enough water and food.
Locals can arrange stary and food if required or you can stay in caves.
Overall, one of the beautiful trek, though there is not much too see on fort; the view are breath taking.
Your efforts in keeping this place clean will make a big difference.

Asheri fort is located adjacent to the Mumbai- Ahmedabad highway. On the highway, before Chilhar village, Khadakavane is on the left. (This crack is not easily found on the highway). The route to the fort from Khadakwane passes through the western pass of Asheri. A road also comes from Medwan on the highway. One has to come to the fort through a little difficult path from the ghili on this route. Many ruins are found on the fort. Water is plentiful. The cave stay is great. engraving
Very easy trek & good option for beginners... It took approx. 2 hours to reach the fort ... There are few water cistern & ponds are available on the fort .. One cave is available... Drinkable water is not available on the fort ... Eagerly waiting to visit in the Monsoon season once again... Enjoy
Best place...2 hr trekking....at base camp staying is possible
Nice place to trek. Medium level difficult. The fort has a cave temple and cannons and 5 rock cut water tanks. You get an amazing view of Mumbai- Ahmedabad Highway from the top.
The trek is moderate to difficult, don't visit in the rainy season coz of the rock climbing and slippery, try to go for a trek in the early morning, carry your food packets and drinking water on the way you won't get anything, I visited in September hardly 50 people were there
