Aranyam River Retreat - Resort hotel in Rishikesh, Sinduri - Pauri Garhwal, India

Best place to experience pure nature This property is located on the banks of a river stream, the water level varies as per season and in peak summers is comparatively less but that did not affect our overall experience as we enjoyed splashing around during the afternoons. We had stayed at Aranyam recently for two nights and two days and had a fantastic experience. The rooms are simple but clean and comfortable plus they have a huge balcony with great views of an exotic bridge and the waterbody. The property organized white water rafting, bird watching, bungee jumping, sightseeing on Neelkanth Mahadev Temple and a trek to Patna Waterfall for us. The food is excellent. All of us had an amazing experience living close to forests and river. Thank you Aranyam!

Super experience I chose to stay at Aranyam due to the its Sanskrit meaning as they have mentioned on their official website. I am happy to say that I was not wrong in my vision of how this place may be but only pleasantly surprised at the personalized services, warm hospitality and friendly attitude of all their staff who take care of smallest of needs of the guests. The manager was very courteous and made positive efforts to understand our purpose of the holiday. He suggested various activities suiting to our liking including a customized yoga and meditation session on the amazing 'beach' right outside the rooms. The adventure activities and birding guides are very professional, simple yet tasty food and unparallel natural surroundings all make this place a special and memorable. Looking forward to visiting again.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at Aranyam , and I must say it was an unforgettable experience that exceeded all my expectations. From the moment I stepped foot in the lobby until the day of departure, every aspect of my stay was meticulously crafted to ensure utmost comfort, luxury, and hospitality.

It is not common for a hotel to give out description and details be it on their website or through their sales team that honestly tell what they offer. Aranyam is surely an exception. There is no private parking, there is a lot of walk and it is not a five star hotel or a typical business hotel. However where it lacks in terms of amenities or challenges, it excels in services and location. We had an amazing time staying at Aranyam for three days. The staff is super courteous and hospitable to a level which we wouldn't have experienced in a seven star hotel. From the time of our first interaction with Ms. Mishra at their office who patiently understood our requirements and explained everything starting with the nature of the location, what not to expect and so on; to Mr. Chauhan the resident manager who would keep checking on us for our comfort and smallest of requirements; to Devesh and Rahul who would always be available with a smile on their face checking on our comfort, if we liked the food; and Darshan ji who kept us well entertained with his profound knowledge about birds, taking us for hiking and sightseeing all of which we had pre booked with reservations team.

Simply Exquisite Rooms were very clean and possibly the biggest ones than in most premium resort or hotels anywhere. Bathrooms also were nice. Aranyam Rishikesh is a must visit for anyone looking to stay in the lap of nature. Amazing views and natural surroundings. Thank you team for warm hospitality and chef for amazing food.

Best Trip Ever at Aranyam Rishikesh Aranyam is a great place to unwind and stay active at the same time. Rafting on Ganges to Bungee Jumping, Rock Climbing, Bird Watching, Jungle Safari at Rajaji Tiger Reserve, High Rope Course, Hiking, you name it and you have all the excitement here. Word of advice - if you are planning to come here do not just sit and sleep in rooms or watch TV but explore the amazing surroundings and try to pre book your adventure experiences suiting different age groups. All meals are sumptuous, hygienically prepared and tasty. Relaxing evenings with hot, tasty snacks before dinner. It was also good to notice that Aranyam is an eco-sensitive resort with minimum use of plastic, waste management, compost pits, local sourcing of material and so on. Rooms are clean, spacious and well maintained by a very capable and hospitable housekeeping team. Thank you guys for making our trip a memorable one.

The place was ok.... We went there in December 2022. Property has outdoor activities like basketball, volleyball, etc but needs upkeep as you can't expect to play basketball on uneven terrain. They have a snooker table and some other indoor activities as well. The place is surely close to a small river stream with lot of gravels which came after flash flooding. Food was fine not too good or bad. With limited choices. Breakfast had better options and taste. We loved the cold backdrop with bon-fires every night with all guests around enjoying. There are twelve rooms in all to offer. Room size is decent with balconies with water front. You need to walk down some distance from "ON Road Parking" (parking facility is not there) on to river banks to reach hotel. Avoid taking heavy baggage as their hotel's porter will have to carry them. Place will be inaccessible and should be avoided in rainy or high water time, due to close proximity to unpredictable water body. However staff is courteous and cooperative

The location of the place and peace it offers is unmatched. There is a downhill Trek to the hotel after you park the car which is on the road(no private parking) but its an adventure in itself. Senior citizens might find it a bit difficult but the hotel boys are cooperative. The food taste-wise is average but the quantity is unlimited provided it is included in the package. We were the only guests at the time so we found the place extra peaceful. The sound of the river flowing will entice your soul. Cons:- 1) there are a lot of bugs and mosquitoes because the hotel's backside is a jungle. So make sure to carry bug spray.2) weekends are the opposite of peaceful so travel there on the weekdays if possible3) the location is about 20km upwards from Rishikesh (Lakshman jhula etc.) so be aware. Also, the roads are narrow and the hilly drivers are very rowdy as they try to hit your car all the time so drive cautiously.4) no one picks up the call if you call reception or the restaurant. You have to hail someone by going out of your room.5) very frequent power cuts so the board trips and you have to inform the staff to restart your ac.Overall it's a wonderful place if you ignore the shortcomings.
